I think thats a horrible idea for Gerritt. They essentially could wait a month before their top tier guys need to play. Resting player has never got a team a Lombardi, that I can remember anyway.

Idk, I couldn't see any games lately, just got my PC fixed a few days ago... I've only seen the Thanksgiving game this year. It does sound fishy that Stafford would get another injured finger on his throwing hand like he did 2010.

It'd be the most disheartening day for me as a Lions fan since Barry walked away.

(Id accepted Mayhew being stupid enough to let Suh leave. So that was like a years worth of disheartening days, doesn't count.)

This game does make a difference... one more win by the Lions and they're locked in for a playoff spot. The best the Redskins or the Buccaneers can do is a 9 win season. Laying it all on the line next week for the Division and/or playoff spot sounds more like the Lions speed with pissing it all away.

It is a big game tonight. But the Lions have to be smart if the Cowboys go up 3 scores in the 2nd half. Sit Stafford and Ansah, put Levy's hips in styrofoam, and rest anyone else who could worsen an injury by playing.

Try to win, but don't lose sight of the overwhelming importance of next week if we are getting killed.

Last week we were down 2 scores with 20 seconds left and dipshit Caldwell trotted Stafford out there for two more pass plays. Dum.

McDaniels has publicly announced his intentions to take a HC job next year. That's BQ's guy. If the Lions miss the playoffs I'd expect BQ to move quickly before another team snatches him up. If another team does snatch him up, the chances of Caldwell staying increase dramatically.

Now if the Lions win the North, Caldwell will be here for a few more years. I guess that means some unnamed Lions fans will be cheering for the Packers next week.

Teryl Austin is making this D look better than it is. Going to suck big time if we lose him to another team this offseason. He is by far the best coach on the roster.
