Lewis is way off right now, throwing everything outside. M's need to capitalize.
Still way off. And the bottom of the lineup is feckless despite him not being able to pitch with any control.

Hope he stays like this until the heart of the lineup comes up again.

...and as I was typing that, Martin hit a homer.

Can we petition MLB to stay in Texas all year?

We overreact when the team isn't doing well early so might as well overreact when they do well... My god, this team is smacking the crap out of the baseball right now. And some of the guys Jerry brought in? A+.

Love it so far.

Cano, 3 HR's in as many days... He didn't hit his 3rd last year until June 26th...

Ouch! Breaking ball hung over the plate and Fielder crushes a 3 run HR...

Lloyd would have for sure bunted Martin with first and second no out. Since Servais didn't big inning. Love it

The bunt was on first pitch and it was the right call. Problem was last year it would have been popped up to the pitcher and we would have been doubled off at 2nd.

Oh my god...Other than the debacle of an inning in the first game... It's been a heck of a series for the M's and particularly Cano.

Great series... One series at a time... We're 1-0 so far in that category... Can't wait to go to the game with my family on Saturday against the A's...

The shift they've always got on Smith...wow. He must push the ball like 1% of the time.

The team has a lot more to prove for actual baseball fans to even think about drinkomg the kool-aid, but it's a good start.

Marte/in came through in a big way today along with Cano. Wow.

It's part of the game so it doesn't bother me that he admitted it. On the other hand, I don't think he made a smart decision in letting it fly after we had already stuck it to him with the bats. Not only did he cost his team the win, but now we are gunning for him (I hope). Choo, Fielder, Beltre........one of em' is getting plunked today and they can thank the Bartender.
I agree, 8. I have no problem with Wilhelmsen plunking Iannetta in that situation. He hit him in the right spot where it wouldn't do much damage. If he had wanted to hurt him, he would have.

The Rangers are the ones that fucked up. The pitching coach should have come out after to the mound after Cruz' double and Wilhelmsen should have been pulled after Seager's double. It was a four-run game at that point and the Rangers still had six outs left, so the game was still within reach, albeit a long reach.
