Series Thread: M's @ Rangers: July 30th - Aug. 1st

Yeah, I'm liking what I'm seeing with Anderson so far. Too early to tell but having a decent start - - I'm keeping in mind this is Texas. Would have been nice to see Moore make the bag at 3rd. I have to keep telling myself this is a Texas gutter team we're playing.

It'll be interesting to see what his stuff looks like on his bad days. So far he's hitting the edges and getting the high fastball by, like his highlight clips show.

A good time to be playing Texas after a tough Houston series. Kelenic looking better is something I really hope for the last two months as much as anything

If Kelenic can play to his ceiling rookie potential it is like essentially getting Byron Buxton at the deadline.

It's a massive missed opportunity to gain grounds when the Astros have to deal with the Giants and the Angels gave the M's a helping hand today. This isn't to point out Castillo, it's to point out a blown opportunity. That being said, I'm not gonna pretend Graveman didn't blow saves this year either... the only difference is that his blown saves didn't cost the M's W's this year.

Sadly, this is going to be the case whether anyone likes it or not. Toro and Castillo successes or failures will always be linked to Graveman. Just as the Varitek and the countless Mariners that were traded away. In Seattle we don’t give two shits about Ken Phelps but Yankees fans had to build an entire Seinfeld segment to it.

Oh I get it. I’m just sure there are gonna be people who will blast Castillo based on one game but those same people won’t be happy with Toros initial performance because “it’s too soon”. It’s gonna be that way until things turn around here for the better
