Is it me or does Kelenics stance look almost completely different?
I didn’t see him credit himself or anyone else with his stance change. He said he was crouching over too much and it was changing his eye level on off speed pitches.I wonder if he made the change himself or if it took weeks of struggling for a coach to try something different.
Either way, hope it continues because he's hit some balls really hard instead of barely getting a piece to foul them off.
It looks like he copied Seager's stance. with his front foot more toward first base.Is it me or does Kelenics stance look almost completely different?
Kelenic looked good today. Homer, a single, drove in about half the runs for the Mariners and didn’t strikeout once
Shitty Texas pitching is probably helping a lot. I imagine the new stance is helping too. From what I understand the hunched over stance was something implemented this year and he used to have a more standing up stance. Apparently per Kelenic with the more hunched over stance it was really hard to see the ball out of the pitchers hand.Yea could be a any combination of: new stance - feeling more comfy in the batters box - not playing infront of the home crowd ( less pressure ) - shitty TX pitching ... etc etc
