Series Thread: M's as Houston, 7/4 - 7/7

Time to see if the M's can keep the momentum with this series, and then a set against KC before the AS break.

My gut tells me Houston will smash the M's this series. Haven't really thought about it, though. So yeah, I'll just go by my gut, and hope it's wrong.

I love AB's like Cano's in the 9th where you watch 2 strikes over the plate then swing at a curve in the dirt. Not sure why they had a day game after flying in after a game the day before. Oh well, at least I don't have to worry about them the rest of the day.

I kinda thought going into this series it would be tough to just get one.

McCullers had a great breaking ball working today but doesn't really excuse those two easily scoring chances they kicked. No idea what happened with that play in the 1st where Martin tried to score. This team is just an awful base running team.

I guess Miley was better but the bar isn't very high. He could have easily been pummeled in the first if not for some line outs. His fastball is just a BP pitch right now. He needs something besides his change up or things will stay the same.

So of the 13 ABs. 8 have been unproductive.

So 13 PA's have scored 10 runners on 8 RBI's. It could be better. The Lee double play killed. He has to get the ball in the air or it is a double play no matter what. Just turns out it was the worst kind of DP home to first.

My thought as well. They said they wanted another RH bat and energy on the bench. Not sure if that was a dig towards someone or what.

In a way its a dig on Romero in my mind. Hes been that RH depth outfielder, but every time he has been called up he really hasn't seized the moment.
