In a way its a dig on Romero in my mind. Hes been that RH depth outfielder, but every time he has been called up he really hasn't seized the moment.

Maybe so. Never thought of that, but can't argue that either.

Pretty sure KC will dominate us, too. Not a fun AS break, as usual.

They are pretty banged up right now. I think that series will go a lot better.

I wonder if we are close to the point where it makes more sense to just shut Walker down for the rest of the year as opposed to running him out there at less than 100%.

I don't think they need to go with that drastic of a step unless an injury requires that. If they are wanting to save some innings on his arm a DL stint would accomplish that as well. Remember this is a guy who went 170 last year I would be fine with him having a similar innings count this year if his health allows him to.

I think they should just put him on the 15 day and see where he is at after the all star break. He needs to be healthy to be effective especially on his drive leg, which puts more stress on his arm than normal.

His comments after the game lead me to believe this thing is in his head and shaking his confidence. If he believes this foot thing is what is causing his struggles, then continuing to run him out there is probably going to just hurt the team and maybe his development. A 15 day break may not be enough, but it's probably the logical first step.

It probably is in his head, that is half the battle with him. At least in my opinion he is a bit of a head case anyway so that doesn't help. The mental aspect of his game will probably improve with experience and maturity. They really need to focus on getting him healthy if a 15 day DL gets him there then they need to do that if its longer so be it, but stop running him out there at less than ideal health.

They really need to shut Walker down for a bit. Servais' comments a few weeks ago seem to make you feel he thinks Walker should just suck it up but not everyone can just suck it up, and it's obviously in his head. They can't allow him to mentally implode as it is doubtful he would recover in a Mariners uniform.

Hate to say this but will Walkers new name be, Taijuan Bedard? Man, I hope not... Eric Bedard seemingly never sucked it up and always seemed to be milking injuries...
