I've noticed that every single mock seems to have us picking different people. I've seen all these players in the first round.

1st:
David DeCastro
Trent Richardson
Lamar Miller
Cordy Glenn
Mark Barron
Alfonzo Dennard
Dre Kirkpatrick
Janoris Jenkins

I've also seen Alshon Jeffrey mocked to us in the 2nd a couple times. I think that would be awesome to put him across from Green.

I like Jeffery alot also, and would have zero issue with him in the second, matter of fact he would be a gem, but one other guy I would think would be an awesome second round WR, Sanu. Sanu is a freaking beast. Jeffery, Sanu or Streeter in the 4th. I think Streeter is under appreciated and could be a heck of a wide receiver, a mid-round steal.

I think Sanu would be the guy to come into the league and be the most ready to contribute of anyone besides Justin Blackmon.

Whether it be kick off returns, #2 WR, wildcat, WR screens, WR end around runs, etc. He is an all around quality athlete, and his speed is deceptively fast. Says he only runs a 4.55, but it looks like when he plays that he is running sub 4.2. He just plays so much faster than anyone else around him.

So if we went WR in round 2, I would prefer Sanu, but would love Jeffery also.

All the different mocks prove a point. Nobody fucking knows who is going to pick where. It's guesswork after the first couple of picks.

I think we should get them all (lol) .... seriously, that just means that nobody has a clue yet.... not really a surprise....

Most I have seen have us taking some combination of a WR, CB or OG in the 1st. Very few with 1st round RB's and I seen 1 with a 1st round OLB. Mostly Seen picking:

Kirkpatrick
Jenkins
Gilmore
Glenn
DeCastro
Floyd
Wright

I wouldn't mind Luke Kuechly either.

Say:

#17 Kuechly
#21 Glenn
#53 WR/RB - (Best value between the two)

I would really love to have Kendall Wright though, kid will be a stud in this league.

I don't think Kuechly falls that far, but with all the CB's being brought in, I wonder if they are still thinking CB in the 1st.

As many as we have signed and maybe looking to add more in Newman, maybe the Bengals are creating their illusion for a CB to make teams ahead of them or teams behind them to trade up and make a run on that position to allow others to fall to them.

Comon now, the Bengals aren't that smart. They play their hand straight forward. Knowing them they may not take a CB or OG in the 1st. We may get a WR and a RB. That would be the Mike Brown way.

I still think they may look at moving one of them to Safety...not sure it would work, but it wouldn't surprise me.

I think Clements would make the best move personally. Really good tackler, good cover guy, just lost a step of speed. Really smart.

I predict we'll draft Kirkpatrick....he's had the kind of offseason the Bengals simply cannot resist.......

I agree....Clements can make the move, and that solves the safety problem.....of course that leaves us still a bit thin at corner, so all the more reason to draft Kirkpatrick or Jenkins, whichever one is the most troubled.......

I've mentioned it before -- Name one or two other corners turned safeties aside from Rod Woodson that were successful. It's just not as common as people assume it should be. Maybe Nate would be a good safety, but history is not on his side.

I think a good tackling corner who has ball skills can make the move, and Clements fits the potential profile......he's really declined in his man to man coverage, and this might be his best chance to prolong his career.....and seriously, can he be worse than Crocker? He might be alot better.....

I have a hard time including Lott, simply because he made the switch before he even hit his prime -- Most cases you hear about these days are corners that make the switch when they lose a step in coverage. That clearly wasn't the case for Lott.

Lott played five years at corner before switching, so I wouldn't exactly say he hadn't hit his prime, but he was the prototype for switching, the bone jarring tackler who was also a very smart player with great ball skills....not trying to compare Clements to Lott, but he does have the smarts and is a good tackler.....I think it's worth a try, even if only to get the defense's answer to Nate Livings off the field.....

This.

What a bunch of homers. Clements isn't better than average at anything he does. Not tackling, not covering, nothing. And that's at his niche position. He isn't a safety, nor will he ever be.
