We (OR I) will rank the games greatest players from 1-96 in greatness. There will be 8 buckets of players, 12 players in each bucket. Every team will get a pick in each bucket from 1 - 8 which will be randomly determined. Once each team has 8 players the remaining players not chosen will be put into 4 buckets of 8 and a random order will again be put together to draft from the final 4 buckets until all 96 players are selected...

i don't follow, would each round be the same bucket?? if that then we can't do random for each bucket, we would have to do 1-8,2-1,3-2,4-3,5-4,etc...

Game 1 on June 3: A long series of small losses had halved Ritz from about 13K to about 6.5K. Despite taking so many losses in a row, despite Tampa Bay favored from being at home, Ritz goes ALL IN on Chicago. Chicago wins.

Game 2 on June 6: Tampa Bay still at home, and Ritz puts 3K on them. Tampa Bay wins.

Game 3 on June 8: Now the series goes to Chicago, so they're favored, but Ritz still keeps 500 on Tampa Bay. Tampa Bay wins.

Game 4 on June 10: Chicago still at home, and now Ritz puts 10K on them. Chicago wins.

(What makes this run so impressive to me is this isn't a case of some simple rule like always betting on one team or always betting on the home team or always betting on the underdog or favorite. It's going in heavy, without an obvious pattern, in a closely-matched, back-and-forth Finals series and getting it right every time. Plus, I thought the odds on the NHL Finals games so far have been really accurate -- I didn't bet on any of them because I couldn't see any edge.)

No idea how he's doing this, but, kudos, this is amazing!

I love this idea.....only one thing I would add....after the 1st 8, when it goes to random for the last 4, let everyone choose from the remaining 32 guys on the list or pick a role player not on the list

Slam has a top 500 players listed on Basketball reference. We could use that

How about for the next NFL draft, you can't pick anyone that was drafted in the 1st round of the NFL draft. Everyone else is fair game.
