The voice of fuckin reason
Football seems to be the only sport where the GOAT is actually up for change throughout the course of history.
Basketball, you have people who will adamantly defend Jordan. You have newer fans who will adamantly claim Lebron. Honestly I've been on team Jordan for as long as I can remember, but given what Lebron is STILL doing that argument is growing slimmer by the day. Even still, I don't think there will be a consensus on this.
Baseball you have Ruth. Bonds maybe 2nd?
For basketball and baseball is there anything a new player could actually accomplish that would make any of you change your minds on who the new GOATs for these sports would be?

I'm from the Chicago area so it's always been said around me that Jordan is the GOAT but most arguments revolve around "he won more championships and never lost one" so he was a better teammate? Lebron would bully MJ in a one on one game, but Curry can probably beat any of those guys if he gets hot. I think it's okay to say that MJ, Lebron, Kobe, etc. can all be the GOATs of a generation and the game has just changed so much that it's impossible to compare.
NFL it's hard with the huge differences asked of the different positions. For me, Manning has been the GOAT QB for me because I thought he was the better QB than Brady, but Brady was the better winner. RB I think it's Sanders, just doesn't have the numbers. WR is insane to try and pick.
MLB it's Bonds and it's not even close with anyone else. HIs stats and records can be looked at hundreds of times and the awe never goes away. Ruth is good but again, the period was so insanely different.
