How right i was about him? What that he is Just average and at his best slightly above average? LMAO Oh i know thats the right assessment of him and he will prove it and HAS proven it this year. Remember his last 8+ games last year? Yes? the first 4 games looks like he is that same guy. No where near the juggernaut he was to start last season. Now do i expect him to suck every game? No i don't, he will have a good game or 3 this season with out a doubt and if i remember correctly when Wilson hurt his Hand i said Geno can go at least 2-2 for us when everyone else wrote off every game as a loss. I don't hate or dislike Geno just like i don't hate Jamal Adams I just know what i see and what i see i don't like. The Hawks should be looking for replacements and i think Lock is ready to take over. Have to see what he has because we know who and what Geno is. Lock needed time on the bench to grow and mature he has got that so lets put him in there because he looked great in the preseason when Geno in his limited time looked "Below average". I dont care if you complete 70% of your passes if they are at or behind the LoS, I think almost every poster on this forum could do that. I find it funny that one of our most explosive plays of the season came from Lock don't you? IN ONE SERIES.

Drew Lock did not play well last night either. He missed 2 wide open receivers with really errant passes. The Fant reception was all Fant. It was a 5 yard pass and Fant then broke 2 tackles to make it a 50 yard play. If Fant gets taken down by the first tackle then Lock would have been 2-6 for 24 yards.

The OL played poorly last night. Which isn't shocking given how many guys we are missing. Thibadeaux had a big game as he constantly beat Forsythe.

Geno is Geno. He will have good games and bad games. They aren't going to bench him when the team is 3-1.

You are basically coming here after every game and blasting Geno, just as you were blasting him all offseason.

Oh Geno played an absolute shit game, and then made an ass out of himself costing us 15 yards and acting like a little bitch on a hit that I still don't think is dirty.

He missed open receivers more than once, the pass interference that Lockett got (that was negated by another BS call by the refs) would've been a TD if Geno actually threw it further, and the stupid sidearm crap that he keeps doing while locking onto a receiver for more than 2 seconds is hard to stomach.

Now that said, the Giants DO have a good D-Line... guess who else does? A LOT of other teams including our very own San Fran 9ers... and those teams actually have an offense that can protect their QB and do things. Geno played like crap, and he needs to start going through progressions and pre-snap reads otherwise we're going to get plenty more of these games where the offense barely scores 10 points.

Basically all Geno scored today was 3 points. The fumble/Metcalf TD was a gift, Witherspoons INT TD had nothing to do with him, Lock/Fant got the other TD. He got a field goal. Course could argue he got another field goal if Carroll didn't stupidly go for it.

Geno did not play well this game.

We finally won a game in dominating fashion but you wouldn’t know it by reading through the posts here.

Enjoy the win where our Defense broke many records. The Defense did things tonight that us fans have been craving for over the past four years or so. Our number five overall pick shows the entire country what he’s made of. So just enjoy it - stop nitpicking.

It might be smart to throw it 60 times, our defense is 31st in yards and 29th in ypa

If the Giants threw it 60 times last night, the Seahawks could’ve had 21 sacks…

I'm glad we get a bye to rest but I really hope Jarran Reed is okay. I was skeptical of his movement to NT but the guy has been lights out this season. If we lose him that will be a massive blow. It didn't seem serious, they said 'shin' so he didn't re-aggravate his groin injury or stuff that can really sideline ya for 4-5 weeks... hopefully it's nothing and him being out the rest of the evening was precaution with the way the game was going.
it looked like reeds shin hit someone else's leg, possibly bone on bone, unless its a fracture I think he will be fine. probably hurt like a bitch though.

If the Giants threw it 60 times last night, the Seahawks could’ve had 21 sacks…
we moved up a spot or two in the rankings, and all the way to 18th in ypa. i hope it holds up.

For someone whos last playing time was in the preseason i didn't expect him to be sharp but at least he put a little spark into the team. 1 Drive 1 TD can Geno Say that? Geno had a 31 Quarterback Rating you cant defend his play with a straight face.

Having watched the game I would say this offense needs to pick it up the only touchdowns of the game came from a Geno pass then the 2nd came off a mega play from Fant which set up a goal line TD in which the drive was led by Drew Lock. Having invested a 1st round pick on a WR and a 2nd rounder on a RB I would hope to see more from this unit. I am starting to think that Geno is really an average QB surrounded by good coaching and quality players. Like someone said the defense isn't getting 11 sacks again especially against a good team.

Hopefully we will see what this offensive line will look like coming from the bye week but I would take a 3-1 start to the season.

I agree this offense was built, practiced and prepared around Geno it is asking a lot for a back up QB to just come in with no rhythm and throw darts all over the field. My only cavoite would be that the Giants prepared all week for Geno so getting caught off guard by Lock would be possible. Either way I think Geno needs to pick it up.

Also shout out to Witherspoon he is looking like a great pick. His cockiness and energy is exactly what this defense needs. No more crying about Jalen Carter

Great. And if Lock comes in an shits the bed, then what? Go back to Geno? You are putting a lot of faith in Lock being 2-6 with one flair pass with having 40 yards of YAC.

I swear it's like some of you think this team is 0-4 right now.

Let's also remember that the OL we had last night was backup LT, backup RT, backup rookie RG, Starting center moved to LG, backup rookie Center.

So zero starters playing in their normal position. 2 rookies playing. That's an awful lot of change against a pretty competent Giants DL, to the point that I would say that is their best position group by a wide margin.

Compare how we played to how the Giants banged up OL played.

Yeah, I felt bad, too... Unlucky injury... With the way the Hawks were playing, it would've been great to see him play because it could've been his break out game... He was playing very well for the 1st 6 plays... 2 tackles and QB Hit...

You're giving Drew Lock waaayy too much credit for that TD drive...

That's the thing... We've been missing 60-80% of our starting OL over this stretch and we've been able to over come it... And Geno has done a pretty good job helping us over come it over that stretch... He was in the same boat as DJ's last night in terms of not having much time to throw the ball... He definitely wasn't on his A game though but made plays when we needed it... Not sure why some of you are dwelling on Geno's play last night... Our OL was in the same situation as the GIants OL...

Some folks obsess about certain players. Screamin is obsessed with Geno. He's been critical of him after every game.

Way too early to consider making a QB change and the offense has had to adjust to the OL getting hammered with injuries. Guess the silver lining is the backup OL is getting experience and the Seahawks have adjusted for injuries with two TEs sets, both bodes well once (or if I guess) the Seahawks get healthy. Hopefully the Seahawks hit their stride when they hit this stretch of games:

That stretch will decide how the season goes most likely. In the meantime the Seahawks just need to win enough to be in the hunt leading up to that stretch and looking at the schedule it seems doable:

Assuming we get reasonably healthy for those next 5 games, I think 3-2 is realistic. 4-1 is possible as well. That Niner to Eagles stretch is pretty rough.

I'm just happy we got the win in dominating fashion. Yeah, some things could have been better for sure but winning in this league ain't easy. It would have been nice to have the O clicking too but when do we ever see our D and O both play well on the same night so whatever. We left points out there as well. Going for it on 4th down was probably unnecessary but if Geno would have had his head in the right space and led Charbonnet just a bit, that's an easy pitch and catch and buries the Giants so not going to nitpick.
Not going to get all critical about Adams today. Concussions are something that can be unpredictable and random in a fast and violent game. Felt bad for Jamall but it's not a soft tissue thing or something you can label as "brittle". It's just bad luck. The bye week gives him plenty of time to clear protocol and on that note, as much as we all hated the scheduling of that bye week before the season, it actually helps the team. Should be able to get a lot of our starters back and healthy before we go to Cincy. Being 3-1 and only a game back of San Fran is a good spot to be in. Lots of season left.
One last observation on the defense, fwiw. We've been absolutely bashing Clint Hurt and some criticism is deserved. But his group has been playing short handed through the first quarter of the season. For those thinking Ken Norton would be a better alternative, have we forgotten Norton's complete unwillingness to bring pressures? Hurt saw a weakness and exploited it last night. That wasn't just one edge rusher having a great night. That was people coming from all over knowing that the Giants didn't have an answer and if you heard Witherspoon's post game interview, he explained how the film study and the coaches knew exactly what to expect from Jones and exploited that. We can all say "yeah, but, it's the Giants" but it's still an impressive showing by the defense, regardless of the competition. Oh, and Witherspoon is the real deal, y'all. This was just a glimpse of what is to come.
