Need help at skilled positions as well as on defense. We have Wes and Charles not too mention we can go G later than round 1 of this draft.

How in the world do we need help at the skilled positions? We gave a bunch of money to Samuel. Brown is still raw, and I assume JD is going to sign back with us. bates is fine at TE with Thomas. Wes is a good player. Charles can play swing OT.

JP Finlay says he knows for a fact there are Watson conversations being had at Ashburn and if he's cleared they are all in on him.

Dont have the draft capital and his legal situation won't be resolved this year.

Production wise, Tmac and Gibson were it. Thomas is coming back and Samuel is an unknown. Whomever the QB is, he needs additional weapons than what we currently have.

So much for Dan sitting in the tower and not making day to day to decisions. They don't make a move like that without him.

I think he will somewhat always have final approval. Under Rivera I don't see him pulling a Haskins stunt. He has too much respect for Gibbs to do that. To your point, something as monumental as a Watson trade would certainly be run by him.

I think Rivera desperately wants to win in year three and I think Dan desperately wants a face to this re-brand. Watson may not be ideal all things considered, but Watson puts butts in seats and sells jerseys.

This was posted on the Commanders official Instagram. Either they really like Willis or they want to check out the comment section to see how we feel about it.

Fk it. Let's talk about it. Listening to Sheehan last week. He stated all he's heard is how valuable it was for Trubisky to be under Josh Allen last year.

Skins think Nagy was the problem in Chicago.

Bills players have stated that Trubisky was too good to be the scout QB and that most of the team knew he would be a starter this year

Now there appears to be a real market for this guy.

Dan's MO has always been to get a splash player. I am not gong to say it won't happen because we have seen Dan give up the farm before.

I think I would be okay with Trubisky and as dad has said, keep drafting every year if you need to. Trubisky won't put butts in the seat unless he wins.

with a good combine / pro day -- I expect Coral, Willis and Pickett to be GONE at 11.
its just what teams do, they trade and reach.
I could be completely wrong, it just seems too good to be true for Pickett to still be there at 11

I think this guy wins and puts butts in seats. I hope they make an honest effort.Screenshot_20220228-201622_Instagram.jpg

Hopkins was in Arizona in 2020.

Watson threw for 4,800 33 and 7 in 2020.

They went 4-12 though. There have been some other QBs here who went 8-7 and 7-9 and still get roasted. As a matter of fact that guy in LA got roasted regularly until this year.

Not by me. I was the first and only guy on this board saying go get Stafford when other posters were bringing uo his W/L record.

Just forgetting the baggage for the moment, Watson would be a huge upgrade. He would cost a crap load more against the cap, his cap hit this year is $40 million. He is young enough that he could be here 10 years. Both sides of the ball need new players. You have to wonder how many picks he would cost and how long to replace those pics.

Todays NFL requires you to keep running through good players on rookie contracts. If the Redskins could trade for him you would consider him this years 1st. He would at least cost two more and likely three more 1st round picks. Where are you going to get those top notch rookie contract guys?

Then there is elephant in the room. What happens with the cases against him?

We've spent half a decade drafting defensive guys in the first round.

Allen
Payne
Sweat
Young
Davis

.....and we were at the bottom of the league in defense.

This is an offensive league. I doubt we get Watson, but we have to try.
