Fair enough. I think that's exactly why they are waiting on those two especially...Mayfield hasn't had a real chances with 3 OC's and 4 HC's in 3 years but if Stefanski is the guy then I don't think there will be any questions he is the guy. I think Ward is the bigger question mark with his injuries, if they can sign him to an incentive-based deal with an out I think that would be best, he just can't play a full season but when he is on the field is very productive.

Ward is more of a franchise and walk kind of situation imo. I think Mayfield you guys probably sign no matter what.

Agree. That's exactly why they drafted Newsome in the first round, if he is a stud early then Ward is replaceable. If Greedy also bounces back then even more evidence Ward is a goner. Hate to lose him but if he is wanting $18-$20M/year that is a huge price. Maybe they tag him in 22-23 then let him walk.
