No 1Bs available, seriously. We are putting a lot of weight on Belt's slumpy shoulders and long neck to get hot for us.

The Phillies officially announced they've traded Pence and cash considerations to the Giants for Joseph, Schierholtz, and Rosin.

Nate love aside, thats not a bad deal considering they're giving us money too. Brown is still a Giant, and I think a Choo deal would have involved him. The Indians already have one high ceiling 1B not doing his job

I think Posey / Panda and Sanchez get the bulk of the 1B playing time , Belt as a late inning Defensive replacement and PH

Agreed. Remember Belt won't start every day at 1B. Posey, maybe Hector and Panda will fill in too.

If you get a 1B (and there really aren't any) you block Posey's rest days or have an expensive bench guy 2 days a week.

Posey will get his days at 1B esp vs lefty pitchers. Hector MIGHT get a day extra or two there. But Panda at 1B puts Scutaro or Arias in the lineup instead of Belt. Is that an upgrade? Perhaps so if Belt never improves but I have to think we're going to ride him to the playoffs or down with the ship.

We also could use that bench bat. Huff is going down, which Pence is taking over for. But we still have Christian on our bench, that could be improved.

Hate the f'n doggies. Can't believe they were bankrupt and now move into this buying mode. Have to fall back to one of MSG's earlier posts .... for the first 100 or so games we battled even with them. They then pick up players to fill their worst productive positions. Doesn't matter if they overpaid. They can't do any worse than the first 100 games coming from those two spots. Then they go pick up two RP and are targeting a top starter. I'm thinking that our entire season may very well be settled in the head-to-head games we have left with them .... torture .... and it begins again

I imagine it will mix up a lot, with Crawford and Blanco in the mix. But that's not bad of a lineup.
