I went through all the NY6 Bowl game results and college football playoff results and can’t find Minnesota. Do they still have a team? Is the program defunct after leather helmet days?
That is because Minnesota is running a covert football team operation, but they will be a presence in all of them. Every National Champion has had to go through Minnesota (or some other team).

UMn grads led Minnesota, Oklahoma and Michigan St to undefeated seasons as well. It can't be THAT hard, right? Again, has Oregon EVER???

Ever ask yourself why these Minny grads don’t return to their alma mater to lead THEM to an undefeated season?

So I said 30-40 years, and you admit right there in your post that 1980 was only 41 years ago? So "early 80s) would be in that 40 year time frame?

And as I said 1970 was 51, none of your claims fill within the last 30 years

You said 30-40..

Just own it that you screwed up

Well, it may have been the couple former Gophers kicking butt in the NBA and MLB combined with a couple still doing well in football. Rick Upchurch played until 1983, which means he played in the 30-40 year range, as did Keith Fahnhorst who played until 1985 and Karl Mecklenburg played until 1994.

I think someone from mighty Minnesota U. created seat belts. And I'm pretty sure the fastest man on the planet went to that school too. I remember fred mentioning both.

I saw Post-It Notes on there too!

"A. B. Graham started a youth program in Clark County, Ohio, in 1902, which is considered the birth of 4‑H in the United States. The first club was called “The Tomato Club” or the “Corn Growing Club”. T.A. Erickson of Douglas County, Minnesota, started local agricultural after-school clubs and fairs that same year. Jessie Field Shambaugh developed the clover pin with an H on each leaf in 1910, and by 1912 they were called 4‑H clubs." ~ 4H.org

Retractable seat belts

Conceptualized by a California doctor and the first patent was awarded to a Michigan man.

First person to crack the 2 hr 15 min marathon mark was a UMner.

15 minutes slower than the current record of 1:59:xx.

the internet(google Gopher Protocol).

Gopher was a web browser, not the internet.

Coined the term "surfing the net"

True

created the URL

Nope. Lee from England created it.

& POPMail

Developed in 1968 by a Popplestone from Bristol.

A UMner leads Google's AI Division.

So, now we know who to blame for exploitation of our personal data.

The Particle AAccelerator

Lawrence was born in South Dakota. His Masters at Minnesota was in Chemistry. He received his PhD in physics at Yale.

Mass Spectrograph.

The foundation for mass spectography came from Germany.

The Transistor Radio

It was Bardeen (Wisconsin, Princeton) and Brattain (PhD at Minny) under Shockley (MIT, CIT) at Bell Lab

Points awarded .25

the fastest super computers in the world, FOR DECADES.

After Cray left Minnesota. It wasn't the first, and it's obsolete now. .3333333 points

Cheerleading

Peebler started cheering the Princeton football team before attending Minnesota. No points awarded.

Minnesota is #6 on the top 10 list of most prescriptions, but was created in Britain.

Disk Drive Technolog

Led by a Minnesotan at IBM in San Jose, so .5 points

The Four Man backfield.

Never heard of it. Please provide a schematic.

Barber Poles.

12th Century technology.

So far, lots of false claims.

Yeah, that tends to happen as time advances, lol. Hardly changes the fact he was the first to crack the 2 hr and 15 minute milestone.

Read the opening paragraph. "fastest... for decades... father of super computing..." etc.. Read it for yourself.

Lawrence was born in South Dakota. His Masters at Minnesota was in Chemistry. He received his PhD in physics at Yale.
Lawrence did get a Masters from Minnesota, but it was in Physics, not Chemistry, his Bachelors was in Chemistry. He studied under William Francis Gray Swan who was a Professor at Minnesota.
