Big 4 meaning the 4 men's sports with big time Pro Leagues that are popular in America and that all pay their athletes big dollars.

The WNBA doesn't even come close to comparing to the NHL, and it's not even close.

NHL players make MORE on average than NFL players, actually.
My bad thought you were referring to college athletics

Amusing that the retard tried to bring up MBB, when Minnesota has 0 NCAA championships. Oregon only has one, but FDF claims that NCAA championships don't count.

NCAA Men's BB championships in 1939, involving a lowly Oregon Webfoots team with several losses, including to a team or teams who undefeated NIT Champs LIU successfully defeated that year on their way to the Title the vast majority of the nation recognized as the REAL Natl Championships.

And just like in cfb, where finishing a season ranked #1 in the polls/rankings out there qualifies as a Natl Title winning season, UMn has THREE Men's BB Natl Titles.

3 clear #1s, all three where UMn ended the season undefeated, vs 1 season where Oregon lost a handful of games and didn't even win the most prestigious and nationally recognized Natl Championship tournament of the time.

And UMn men's bb has produced 4 Naismith HOFers, the first NBA Dynasty, and over 40 NBAers including 4 players with multiple All-Star accolades and 5 players with 10,000+ points scored in the NBA. None of which lowly Oregon can claim.

Not that homer. Not only does he overly pimp up anything Minnesota Gophers now he pimps up anything Minnesota related. It's really weird how he thinks the state of Minnesota rules everything. His homerism was funny at first, now it just lame.

Minnesota went almost 100 years without winning 10 football games in a single season. Shit since the turn of the century (2000) they have only bested 8 wins 3 times.

Yet retardFred thinks they rule the college football world???
That 10 win season came with a laughably easy schedule......also they still lost to the Hawks that year.

I don't "overly" pimp anything. Are my thread titles slight exaggerations? lol Maybe, maybe not? Depends on how you view things.

I mean, name me a single University that has produced more NFL Yearly High Point scorers than Minnesota? 5 former Gophers have led the NFL in scoring at the conclusion of the season on 11 occasions. That is at least 10% of the NFL's history.

Or name me a single University that has produced more NFL All-Decade players than Minnesota? 8 former Gophers have made it onto 10 different All-Decade teams. If I add other Minnesotans it's another 8, including the combo putting 7 on the 1970's All-Decade Team.

Or name me a single University that has produced more NFL Coaches than Minnesota. There could be 1 or 2 out there, I wouldn't be surprised if Notre Dame produced more, but I'll be honest, I'm simply not going to do the work of figuring that out for Notre Dame or anyone else. But the University of Minnesota has produced at least 14 pro/NFL coaches and several CFL coaches as well. And at least 5 former Gophers have gotten into the CFB Hall of Fame for their coaching accomplishments, which has to be near the top of the list.

A few more?

Longest unbeaten streak in cfb history? UMner Gil Dobie, mostly at University of Washington.
Longest winning streak in cfb history? UMner Bud Wilkinson coaching Oklahoma.
Most cfb wins in cfb history? St. Johns, Mn Coach John Gagliardi.
Most Div 2 cfb wins at the time of his retirement? UMner Jim Malosky. He's still #2 all-time for Div 2 wins and 18th all-time overall(all Divs)

So in those ways, UMn/Minnesota owns the world of football.

And if I claim something, if proof is demanded, I always give it.

When I claimed UMn was a Top 20 all-time cfb program and someone questioned that claim, I provided a link to the Rating.

If you needed to know who the NFL Point scoring leaders are and when they led the NFL, I'd supply those names and dates and if needed, evidence that they played for the Gophers or were born in Minnesota.

So how am I "overly" pimping anything when all I do is post factual information?

Which makes his rants even more bizarre.

Clemson went through a long period of not being all that good before they jumped up hard into serious relevancy. All it took was a great new coach.

Bama hasn't ALWAYS been good, hell the Gophers beat them the last time they played.

I remember a period when OSU was struggling as well. What cured that? A great new coach.

So just because UMn went through a long period of not being all that good, doesn't mean that now with a new stadium, a new practice facility and a new coach, that something like going 11-2, and winning a Div Title can't happen, right? Oh wait, Fleck accomplished both in 2019, his what? His 3rd season at UMn?

I'm not reading your long-winded overly homeristic nonsense. The fact you think Minnesota football is on the same level as N.D. (which you've claimed multiple times in the past) just shows how utterly full of shit you are all the time. You're a clown.

Yep, you making Zoolander look smart right now. You definitely can't read good.

My comment about Minnesota beating Bama last time they played was my giving an example of how even Bama can have a down year. DUH.

Is not Bama the best cfb team in the nation, right now? In the 21st Century? Arguably in all of cfb History?

Not being a Bama fan, I don't know who else Bama lost to during that down period they had before Saban got them back to winning most of the time. EXCEPT, being a Gopher fan, I do remember that Minnesota beat them during that down period, so I used THAT specific game to make a point. AND... seeing as how low of opinion so many of you have of UMn football, I figured there was no better game to highlight the point I was trying to make. DUH.
