I talk plenty about football. It's usually someone else who brings up other sports and then I respond. But it's not always me bringing up other sports.

A 17 year old football recruit, doesn't remember what Oregon did in 2014 when they got pummeled by OSU in the title game, much less 2010, the one season in all of history where they were close to being legit.

And Oregon has yet to win a single legit Natl Title in one of the Big 4 of college sports(Fb, BB, Bb or Hk).

ZERO Natl Titles in cfb.
ZERO Natl Titles in chk.
ZERO CWS Titles.
And only 1 title in cbb that is highly disputed.


Better to be a HAS BEEN with 6-10 cfb Natl Titles,, 3 CWS Titles, 3 #1 poll finishes/Natl Titles in cbb, and to still be the #1 chk program of all-time presently, than to be a NEVER BEEN like Oregon.

Well, I was speaking both about THIS thread and all threads I start in general. Wamu is usually the one who brings up other sports, I only respond to him or others. I rarely just bring up other sports out the blue, although I have on occasion. Sue me, lol.

It's easy to do the armchair qb thing, or the couch potato coaching thing, but it amazes me how many casual fans think they are experts, and if they were, PLEASE get a job coaching and help the Gophers, but none of your supposed experts ever do, you just sit on your fat asses on your couches and criticize those who did what was needed to actually get paid the big bucks to make the big decisions.

I'm NOT saying you don't have a right to criticize, but maybe be more cognizant of your lane/position in life. YOU could have earned the WMU job, but you didn't. YOU could have then earned the Gopher job, but you didn't. Have you EVER coached any sports team? Just asking. I mean....

No, I don't.

Everyone makes the occasional mistake, Wamu made one yesterday or the day before, and admitted to as much. Everyone is human and makes the occasional mistake.

Thinking the 1939 NCAA cbb tournament was NOT considered by the masses of sports fans of that time to be the definitive natl title tournament is "an opinion" and one supported by tons of evidence. That is not a lie. If you were not a biased moron, you'd be able to acknowledge as much. If Wamu wasn't a biased loser stricken by FDS, he'd be able to recognize the same.
