Neither would I. Could you imagine that pass rush? It wouldn't even be fair.

Trade Brooks; play Clowney at LOLB.

On 3rd down, play Lemonier at LOLB, Clowney at LDE, JSmith / RayMac at NT, Tank at RDE and Aldon at ROLB. Put the CBs in press coverage 'cause you know they're going to a 3-step drop.

Punt.

Clowney would play a different position than Brooks..... Not all 3-4 OLBs have the same role, Aldon plays more of the role of "rush end" which is what we called it in our scheme, his primary job is to rush the passer, set edges and cause havoc, dropping back into coverage on rare occasions; this is the position that Clowney would play. Brooks plays "drop end", he also rushes the passer but not as much as his counterpart, he has more responsibilities in coverage and in run support.

There are 3-4 teams that use 2 rush end players but that isn't really our style that I've seen. I do however think that while in 4 man fronts I do believe that Clowney and Aldon would be a scary combo.

Hearing a lot of talk about 49ers landing Evans. This would be awesome but will cost a lot. I don't see it happening unless he falls out of the top 10

Well I would temper your expectations because last year it was Sheldon Richardson and the year before that it was Bruce Irvin so we've recently we've yet to land anyone we've been connected too.

In fact Aldon Smith, AJ Jenkins, and Eric Reid were all surprises.

I think we have a shot at the #11 spot as the Titans don't have any extra picks and we have their 3rd rounder so I believe they would be inclined to jump down and get picks.

Eric Reid was no surprise. He was linked to the miners as early as the combine.

I agree with you also. When the 49ers traded with the Cowboys I was thinking it had to be for either Eric Reid or Matt Elam.

I was actually hoping it was Tyler Eifert, but Reid was my 2nd choice. He was my favourite safety in the draft by a significant margin, and I think he's better than anyone in the 2014 draft by a significant margin. I'm not a big fan of this safety class. Good thing the Niners already have 2 starting safeties. :)

A. Smith wasn't either. I remember them liking him a lot. They just didn't want to take him that early.

Reid was my 2nd Fav Safety in the Draft. I was very happy when we drafted him.

With Kaepernick's lack of success throwing fades & back-shoulder passes, I don't want to rely on a big receiver whose game is all about position. The QB makes all the difference with those guys. The Niners' offense needs a guy who's going to get separation & catch a pass on the run.

Drafting Mike Evans would be a terrible mistake. Matthews & Moncrief are both better recivers than he.

Hahah not even close, Mike Evans has played with a guy like CK who can use his legs and make plays down the field furthermore he is 6'5, 225 and ran a 4.5, and played in the SEC. The guy already has the NFL body and is a stud, matthews cant hold his jock, Evans is 10x better, he can end up being a teams #1 WR. There is a reason why a lot of people have Evans as #2 or #3 WR on their board

Evans is probably a smokescreen.... you get use to this smokescreens....

Unless your team is in the top 10 whether its NFL, NBA, NHL... as far who a team covets is pretty much taken with a grain of salt...

top 10 selections are pretty much the more accurate assumptions or indicators IMO.

well besides all three of them being over 210 lbs, all being over 6'3, all running basically 4.5's and all playing in the SEC, the only negligible difference seems to be the QB position...

oh, besides the route tree that Jordan Matthews has down pat, the explosive cuts Moncrief has, they aren't THAT much different.

Yes now hearing a lot of Buzz on Beckham Jr. I don't know How I feel about that move. Good for Special teams but don't know about WR. Don't see anything special.

I think he will be a great fit for us. Runs the complete route tree, explosive into/out of cuts, strong hands.

Looked he had 1,150 yards and 9 Td's last year, not bad numbers. But if the 49ers really like him maybe he fits that slot mold
