and if you looked at how he played, some would say he plays like Torry Holt

I Love ODB, but I see Jordan Matthews as a guy who does everything Beckham does (except return kicks) only he's bigger, has longer arms and bigger hands (although ODB's arm / hand lengths are great too). Matthews > ODB. I'd be severely disappointed if the Niners trade up for any receiver not named Brandin Cooks.

I'd be extremely happy with Beckham. I disagree with Sick though Beckham is head and shoulders above Matthews. Evans is the only receiver I'd put above ODB. Cooks is a shiney Ferrari that the Niners scheme will use like a geo metro... just my opinion.

I like all 4 mentioned, But Evans, Matthews, ODB, and then Cook in that order. But I would be happy with any of them.

I have read bad reviews on Matthews and Benjamin from FSU. I will pass on Matthews, they said he isn't good at breaking tackles and doesn't have that elusiveness that Beckham has. I have looked at a lot of rankings and the top 3 have been Watkins, Evans and Beckham with Cooks around there too.

Will probably need to trade up in the late teens or early twenties to land Beckham or Cooks. Jets will probably pick a WR and so will the Eagles and the Chiefs. A traded with the Dolphins would be an ideal scenario. Trade 1st rounders with the Dolphins and also give them pick #71 and a 5th round pick. Dolphins should be able to still draft an OL with pick #30.

I hope that we continue to draft an injured player or 2! I think our rotation on the front 7 will develop into a force, we need serious help in the secondary! Go 49ers!!

if we trade up for a WR great, but get one who is envisioned as an outside receiver. don't get one to "stretch the defense", a "3rd WR", or a "slot receiver". draft the who'll be a starting outside receiver.

I agree. Niners need to look beyond 2014. Crabtree might be gone if he's not resign. I think that Cooks or Beckham could start opposite of Boldin in 2015. A WR that I have read through vairous mocks that is moving up is Cody Latimer. He might sneak in the bottom of the first round.

yeah ok, if Cooks or Beckham are considered future (next year) outside receivers, fine with me. there's no reason to 'slot' them due to their size.

I think Cooks or Beckham can play both slot or outside receivers. I think with Cooks speed, even a physical DB has to respect it or have the safety on top. That would give Gore more running room and more space for VD to run routes up the middle, providing that Kap goes through his progression.

If we were looking for a guy to start on the outside then I would like Evans in the 1st or Benjamin in the 2nd rnd. Big, strong WR

general comment.............the key is always the QB, but somehow the focus prior to this draft......seems to be on the 3rd WR......who'll stretch the field? an 'explosive' offense starts with the passing ability of the QB, doesn't begin with any WR we might draft next week.

after the QB it is on pass protection IMO, cause even "2nd tier" WR's can get open given time. next, we get to the starting WR's/TE.
