Miami Heat Game Thread for March

Spurs have a lot to do with it but the Heat started it that way - they've had trouble playing with the pace they have been playing of late on the offensive side - as I said, some of that was the Spurs defense - mostly the careless turnovers and fouls - but the heat have simply failed to play with the pace they have been of late . Have played into the hands of the Spurs and now paying for it.

quantity and QUALITY when it comes to the Spurs bench - not the case with the Heat. We have quantity but the quality not quite there yet

The Spurs are just a really bad match up for us. We play the Warriors much better

Well, everyone is calling this an expected loss - and maybe rightly so, but still disappointing that we never really competed in this game. We got beat and did so playing poorly as opposed to competing. Last night we also won playing badly especially towards the end which further complicated things today.

There are no guarantees in this league especially when you are the Heat. So while the remaining stretch is favorable for the Heat -- they must fix some things in order to fully take advantage of the remaining schedule.

Earlier I said that the quality of our bench wasn't comparable or good enough next to the Spurs -- however, our bench did out play our starters tonight. Just not enough balance offensively which is what you need against a team like this.

Oh well.. time to bounce back next game

Gerald Green says "hell yeah" he wants to re-sign with Miami Heat

For as inconsistent as he has been, he has always shown a willingness and desire to work hard to break out of slumps - knowing what to do when your struggling is easy - being willing to put in the work is often the task and he has shown he is up to it. I hope we re-sign him and that he continues to work hard to become the player we need him to be and that he is capable of.

Another bad close out of the second quarter which will almost surely contribute to a slow 3rd quarter start again but some idiot will claim that its a lack of adjustments at half time - clearly the problems start before then.
