Could be wrong - hope I am - whether its Thornton or anyone else -- I get the feeling the Heat adding a replacement for Udrih is imminent - Despite the financial reasons that support letting him go -- I don't think the Heat make this move unless they were for certain their next target was a sure to be signed.

Now, lets wait and see if its Thornton or someone else -- pretty sure some people in here still want it to be beasley but a lot of quality candidates out there that I am sure people wouldn't hate.

I think adding Thornton would be a bad decision. We don't need another SG/SF on this roster. We have more than enough at the moment with Wade, Green, Winslow, Johnson, and Deng as well. I would prefer another PG or a stretch 4 aka Mike Beasley

Is it Beasley or bust for some of you all? Sure as heck sounds like it sometimes.

More importantly, we need to pick up someone/anyone that will help make our team better regardless of position.

As for you listing Green -- He seems to fallen out of favor in the eyes of many -- so does he really count? Some comments from Spo yesterday may suggest they haven't given up on him yet -- but he will certainly have to earn his way back from this point on.

There's not a whole lot of stretch 4's available. Humphries would be a good option but all indicators are that he's heading to Atlanta after being bought out by Phoenix.

Green does count because he is a body. Let's say if JJ or Wade one night gets in early foul trouble, Spo will likely go to Green instead of Winslow just to keep his top 3 off the bench in the same rotation. Green just need to work on his shot. I think if he shows improvement then Spo should be able to make 12-15 MPG for him.

I should point out - I am not against a Beasley-Heat reunion so long as it continues to be the good and re-invented Michael Beasley -- it just gets a little tiring to hear the same name thrown out so much -- its as if the talent pool is greatly lacking

As to Gerald, his struggles of certainly of note - But as Fiorentino pointed out last night - he has gotten few chances of late be it with amount of shots taken or minutes played -- both of which make it hard to get in a rhythm -- which is kind of important for a so-called rhythm-shooter.

I wish GG would take it inside a couple times - he did it a lot the last time he was struggling and got himself going. He needs to do it again to get back on track.

Agree. Sometimes all you need is to see the ball go in a few times...even if it comes on a dunk, layup, or ft

And he has missed a few dunks and layups during this most recent dry spell for him -- a case of trying to do too much IMO -- if those had fallen he might be out of that dry spell by now but such is the way the ball bounces sometimes

I always write the lineups and I had Joe Johnson starting last game -- he is coming off the bench -- help me out here -- did he not start last game and Winslow was off the bench -- Tonight its Winslow starting tentatively
