2. Josh Swales (RHP) – Southern Nevada

swales.jpg
Josh Swales
Josh Swales is a victim of COVID-19 backlogging the vast majority of Division I rosters. He was originally going to the University of Arizona, but decided to go the junior college route – specifically Southern Nevada – after the NCAA extended eligibility because of COVID.

He stands 6-foot-2 and weighs 195 pounds and just looks like he belongs in professional baseball. He has a modern, sound delivery that provides little worry to most scouts. His fastball is likely to hit 100 MPH but has not yet. The speed will come as his body continues to mature. As of now, his fastball speed is roughly 96 MPH and, still, it looks like Swales is throwing an easy game of catch when he tosse

3. Kris Bow (RHP) – Southern Nevada

bow.jpg
Kris Bow
Kris Bow might have one of the impressive sliders in all of collegiate baseball, often hitting 83 MPH. Standing 6-foot-3 and weighing 210 pounds, the Arizona recruit has a fastball that can hit 96 MPH and has a clocked rotation of 2,497 RPMs.

His fastball contains some serious swing-and-miss components. His delivery is extremely compact despite being a bit lose in the backend of it.

He is going to attract a ton of attention during the MLB draft.

mariners need one..of these 2 guys,
Dillan ShrumNevada1B.468.527.9681.495351243558151154710101911
Ruben IbarraSan Jose State1B.381.503.8501.3533511330439114324282400
prob ibarra..as prototypical...but either..would do to..start at tacoma...and work down...unless they..do well at tacoma..LOL

Ibarra, a junior from Watsonville, dominated at the plate all season for SJSU en route to the second-team honors. He started 34 of the 35 contests he appeared in and belted 14 home runs on the season, a mark that set the program record for home runs per game (0.4) in a single season. The first baseman also remains in contention for the NCAA slugging percentage title, ranking No. 2 nationally at the completion of the regular season with a .850 clip.

The mark of 0.4 home runs per game has Ibarra ranked No. 8 nationally in that category. His on-base percentage is also one of the nation's best, coming in at No. 22 in all of Division I with an average of .503.

In the Mountain West, Ibarra finished the regular season slotted second in home runs. The respect for his big bat along with his patience at the plate helped draw 28 walks, ranking third-most throughout the league.

Ibarra led San José State in batting average (.381), OPS (1.353), runs (30), hits (43), doubles (9), home runs (14), RBI (32), total bases (96), slugging percentage (.850), walks (28), on-base percentage (.503) and sacrifice flies (4). The above accomplishments were achieved despite only playing in 35 games on the season.

In addition to his stellar work at the plate, the junior also flashed a golden glove defensively at first base. Ibarra led the Mountain West in fielding percentage (.996) among fielders with over 150 chances, recording 243 putouts, 28 double plays and 12 assists in the 2021 campaign.

Ibarra is one of just two Spartans (Shane Timmons, 2017 and 2018) to earn all-conference recognition in back-to-back seasons since 2010.

general managers..get to do this once..a year..it has to be a load of fun.....lololol
to put the next minors team together...for your organization

and there has to be ..a lot of stress as well....

my next list..will..be..a what if list..of ..replacement draft of...any of these out feilders..in the case..that some other team picks them
mariners only have..a 1 in 30 chance...unless they draft some guys higher..than they are ranked
which..i would expect..them to do ...if they really want a guy

these are all high on base pct..guys.....
ibarra..with..only..113..at bats...my guess...is..if he had around..200 at bats..that..he would have around 20 to 30..HRS..with..50 to 60 rbis..and that
with all his other numbers would make ibarra..the best 1B..in this class

these guys..with a bit lower..obp..are high RBI...guys

all these guys..we would be happy..to have on the mariners

these guys strike outs are excessive..or they would be on one of the lists above
