This is getting good.

Now that the 2012 salary cap has been set at $120.6 million, we’ve obtained the full list of the cap space, or surplus, that the teams have.

With less than 48 hours until all 32 franchises must be in compliance with the spending limit, plenty of teams have work to do.

And if the Arizona Cardinals hope to sign Peyton Manning, they’ll need to roll up their sleeves and create some cap space.

The Cardinals are $16.4 million over the cap, as adjusted to reflect $2 million in 2011 carryover and $1.333 million in downward adjustments.

Amazingly, the Cardinals could have carried over $7.04 million. They opted only to carry over $2 million.

If they’d carried over the full amount, the Cardinals would have had to clear only $11.4 million by Tuesday at 4:00 p.m. ET. More importantly, the Cardinals would have had an extra $5 million to pay Manning.

For the Cardinals, the challenge will be to clear $16.4 million and then enough beyond that to fit Peyton’s contract under the cap.

These next 24-48 hours are going to be fucking insane. Somebody has to be whispering Manning's name in Baalke and Harbaugh's ear. I don't see why Peyton wouldn't at least give us a visit if we were to ask him.

I just read that the Cards can clear 16.9 million by cutting Levi Brown. Not sure if its true, but even if it is they'll have to have room to sign him. It looks good.

Who's going to protect his blind side then? The Cards O-line is much worse off than the Broncos.

That should be an interesting conversation. I hope there is footage of the workout.

Though there could still be a long way to go before quarterback Peyton Manning picks a new team, the Broncos think they see the finish line.

Vic Lombardi of CBS4 in Denver reports that the Broncos are now “95% confident” that they will land Peyton.

Levi Brown is average at best. PM makes any average o-line look good. Name one O-lineman from the colts that did anything after they left the team. A great QB does wonders for an o-line. Heck...look what Warner did for that o-line. No probowlers from that team.

ESPN Radio reported that Seattle & KC are out of the Manning sweepstakes.

ESPN also reporting that Baalke is a jerk if he isn't pursuing Peyton.

I gotta believe that Peyton is acting like that girl at the club that makes eye contact initially and slightly winks at the Niners from across the room, only to occasionally look over her shoulder to see if the Niners are looking at her...and if so, wondering whether the Niners are going to approach her. Meanwhile, Baalke is doing his best douchebag impression, "Is that hot chick looking at me?!?" Baalke, you can bed this chick. Just spit some game, tell her you want her and she will follow you to where you want her to go. FUCK, it ain't that hard but you are REALLY testing the patience of your fan base. You are delusional if you think that signing Alex is better short term for this team. We don't have to worry about long term because that is why you traded UP to get CK, right? Walk over to her table and give her your fucking number already. FUCK!!!!!

Thank you but as you know, its frustrating to watch. There is no team that would be a BETTER fit for Peyton then the Niners. There is no FA that would be a better fit for the Niners then Peyton. Cap space isn't the issue because the Niners have been reported to be on the brink of signing Alex to a contract well above his abilities. Just get the fucking thing done already.

If we got Peyton, I could imagine that Alex would hate both Mannings. He could prevent the possibility by signing now, although the pressure has gone up with all the "whatifs" out there.

If we don't get Peyton, I could see Harbaugh hating both Mannings (Peyton replaced him in Indy and Eli went to the SB past us. Plus, if Peyton blocks us with the Cardinals, another layer.) (I don't actually mean "hate" but you know what I mean.)

Their line was horrible with Brown. Now it will be way below average. I highly doubt Manning would last behind that swiss cheese. All Done would put him in an early grave.

Manning has one of the quickest releases. I'm sure he would find a way to cope behind that horrific oline. I would be so angry with Baalke/Harbaugh if Manning ended up playing against us in our division.
