They want a big....AD can now play PF and not C. They can play Gafford and Lively at C. And have some serious size.

They actually are a pretty scary team right now.
Perhaps. But Luca if plays defense and stays healthy is a cornerstone

That pick will likely be hi tho.

No, I have not.

New Orleans benched him and sent him away from the team during the final month of the season. That is a cancer. His nonsense that season contributed to the team winning 15 fewer games, despite a roster that should have been improving.

I said that he is good enough to be the second-best player on a championship team -- you are now adding words that I did not write.

And he demonstrably is exactly that, as we can see by looking at the second-best players on several recent championship teams, and others that I did not yet mention. Khris Middleton was the second-best player for the Bucks, and he is also not better than Ingram.

No Raptor except Leonard was better than Ingram is.

No Maverick except Nowitzki was better than Ingram is.

It is at-best very questionable that Irving was better in 2016 than Ingram is.

And on, and on, and on. You are just flat wrong on this point, and I will continue to illustrate if you force me to.

Again, no, I am not. And you have yet to provide a single piece of evidence to support your nonsense.

I clearly explained it.

Davis has a long history in the league.

Calling somebody a cancer is a wild accusation over 1 thing.

He has been known as a locker room leader and a good teammate. And has done plenty to earn that reputation.

You are making a bad conclusion off of 1 fact. Don’t have to refute anything but that.

We should keep this link sticky. A year from now before we have any idea how this plays out.

They literally made one of the biggest blockbuster trades for a guy that plays the exact same position as he does. Yes. They're ready to move on from him.

Not necessarily. Lebron has taken a step back this year and has been letting Austin Reaves handle a large chunk of the playmaking/point guard duties.

Lebron and Reaves have been doing well sharing those duties...but Luka may be "too many cooks" which is why @tlance is likely correct in that this may now mean that Reaves will be available for trade.

He was out with an injury, yes I know that.

Irving is 6-4.

He's 6'2". You do know that you can look these facts up, instead of embarrassing yourself, right?

Here, let me help you: Kyrie Irving Stats, Height, Weight, Position, Draft Status and more | Basketball-Reference.com

And I also guess you didn't know AD was 1 of the better passing big men in the League.

That would be why Davis averages a not-very-impressive 3.4 assists per game.

The "better passing big men in the league" are Jokic (10), Sabonis (7), Antetokounmpo (6 ), Senguin (5), Adebayo (5), Randle (5), and others. Even Vucevic averages 3.4. Hell, Poetl is at 3 per game, with a hell of lot less usage than Davis.

In other words, again, no.

Gasol was traded for peanuts.

I remember it like it was yesterday.

Not entirely true...on the surface...it looked like the Lakers fleeced Memphis. But included in that trade was the rights to Marc Gasol...I heard he was pretty good.

Lively is 7-1 but you didn't list him in your original comment when you said the Mavs would start 3 PF's.....sure there was a reason for that.

LOL.

I think Lively is out for the season no?

Or at least most of it.

It's a great contracts and they need a C now. He may be the best way to get that C without having to give up that '31 1st rounder.

This is a shocking move by Dallas … Luka is only 25 years old, Davis who is a great inside player is 31 years old … I’m stunned

Oh, I must have missed that.

But, for the future.....still stands....he and AD make a nice frontcourt.

I was thinking Dallas might do something with him.

Lively and Marshall for a good 3 and D wing?

Maybe a cheap big body too.

That is if Lively really is out for the year.

They could still make a deal like that.....the team trading him to would be doing it for the future....

Or Gafford....I would try and keep Lively.

I don't think the Lakers (especially us since we now need a C) or Mavs are done just yet.

I think the deadline is going to be very interesting.

@tlance what do you want for Valanciunas?

What do you have?

Probably wouldn’t take a first, but that would be a no brainer

A contract and 2 seconds probably gets that one done

Gonna be interesting...maybe they can put together a package or packages that brings them someone like Nic Claxton (no idea if the Nets are interested in moving him), or Myles Turner...or maybe they decide to give Ainge what he wants for Kessler? Would Knecht, removing the 2027 protections and the 2031 be enough?
