* Mayhew's 29-51 record is the worst 5 year start for any NFL team since the Packers went 21-46-3 between 1975-1979.

I'm confused by the wording of this fact.

It's the record for the worst 5 year start for any HC (Schwartz) since Bart Starr's 1979 Packers. Mayhew's GM reign just so happens to coincide with the same 5 year stretch of losses.

Basically, I blame Mayhew as much as Schwartz (actually a lot more).

OK I got you. The start for a team confused me. I don't talent wise we should have made the playoffs 2 out of 3 years. Coaching was horrendous. I especially blame him after hearing from Stafford that he didn't see him much. I think he just gave the offense to Linny and just let it run. That would work if Linny was good, but he's not.

Ya I agree. Even worse our defense was never good once Goodell put the clamps on Suh.

It was good once? The defense has sucked long before Goodell.

Like a carousel? Up, down, and around. Circular. Energy. All good things. In with the good, out with the bad.

We're going to get trucked this week. It's the 4 very winnable ones after that will be the key.

I was hoping for 2 out of 3 after the bye week. The 4 winnable games are almost must win now IMO. 11 wins should surely get them in. Not sure what 10 does for them?

Lions' Stigma is entered to run at 5 furlongs on the turf for a purse of $50,600 in his first race December 30. He's in a field of 12, drew the number 1 post position, and is 18-1.

Where at and will it be a simulcast for some OTB? Local casino needs more donations from me.

I hate to disappoint you Gandy, but this is a simulation. It's probably the best community on the net. No fighting.

In the sim, I'm the equivalent of a small time trainer butting heads with the big boys. No instant gratification to be had. Over 20,000 horses are bred every year. I run mostly claimers with a few allowance horses. I haven't had a stakes runner in years. Although, Lions' Stigma is out of my only stakes winning mare. His half sister (Rainincatsnbirds, a 3 year old filly) won a very tough allowance race in Kentucky on Christmas Day at 9.5 furlongs on turf. She also won her first race at 29-1 in New York at 5.5 furlongs on turf last year.

Lions' Stigma will be running in Texas. I expect him to prefer routes, but in his first race as a 2 year old, I'm not going to ask him to run a mile or more. As silly as it may seem, I have high hopes for this guy. Translation: I'm setting myself up for a huge disappointment. More than likely...he will 'suck down the stretch'.

When you said "sucks down the stretch" it was worthy of a real name. Almost makes me think of who's on first skit.

Lions' Stigma finished 4th, two and a half lengths behind the winner. He showed good speed to go with the stamina he was bred for.

So I would have had to hit a superfecta with Stigma boxed in.

Prolly would have paid good in the real world at 18-1 being wheeled in.

I hate the Cowboys. Maybe Suh will step on Romos throat or something like that:lol:. If the Lions lose I hope they at least bust the Cowboys up some
