I am fine with this if true. Does director of Pro scouting mean he was not involved in the college scouting before the draft?
It might be structured different within the teams. However, yes they're are directly involved with college scouting and pro scouting. I know with some the scouts all work directly for you.
I won't say that's awesome because for us just because he's coming from the Pat's. They also have had some rough drafts with players not panning out.
No team has an awesome draft every year, but there is a reason New England keeps losing top players and the next man up steps in with little to no drop off. I am going to remain optimistic about our future drafts until he proves other wise.
First hire in a while where I felt that the benefit of the doubt is warranted, I am excited about it.

I think he will hire his own guy.

I just don't think BQ is coming in to supply Caldwell's vision. Could be wrong.

I wanted Caserio. Not sure Quinn is ready.
Good question. The Patriots have a separate Director of College Scouting - Monte Ossenfort, and Director of Player Personnel - Nick Caserio.
So this Quinn guy basically brought in Lagarrette Blount 3 times. Anything else?
