The Miami Herald reports the Lions are "planning" as if they will have the No. 5 overall pick in tomorrow evening's first round.

Meaning, the Dolphins trade up with the Lions to No. 3 overall, likely to secure a quarterback. After weeks of rumor and misdirection, the Dolphins once again seem most likely to take Alabama's Tua Tagovailoa over Oregon's Justin Herbert, though no one seems to truly know. The Dolphins have played the coronavirus-affected rumor mill to perfection. This will not be the last Dolphins or Tua report you read between now and draft time.

There are 10 elite players in this draft. The 3 QBs, the 4 LT's, Young, Okudah and Simmons. Any one of them after a trade down to 5 is a W for the Lions tonight.

Yes -- I'd be happy if they traded to 5 and only got one extra pick. Any extra pick is better than nothing.

We have needs at CB, DT and LB -- Okudah, Simmons or Brown will be there if we trade to 5, most likely, all of them will, as it seems as NYG could be going top OL to build up for the top pick they spent on RB and QB.

In a fantasy world, hell yes. There's plenty of talent at those draft slots to select quality prospects.

But that scenario would never happen as it's too much draft capitol to give up considering they fleeced their roster just to get to this point in rebuilding.

I'd be all in on this selection. 100.

Wilson is the only off-ball LB I would select in this entire draft (even over the so-called popular choices of Murray or Queen).

In my book, he's a day 1 replacement for Christian Jones or Davis.
