I would love Owen Daniels, He is my favorite choice now that the Texans cut him.

I seen that too and was wondering if we could afford him....ive been a fan of his since he came into the NFL..if he stayed healthy, hes an upgrade over pettigrew....him and fauria would leave us decent at TE.

I'd like to see Jacoby Jones in Detroit.

not too many skill players going early. Alot of lineman. Only safeties off the market are Whitner and Bathea. Andre Roberts and Dexter Mccluster the only receivers. So far

Wide receiver Julian Edelman is going to market.
NFL Media Insider Ian Rapoport reported Tuesday that the New England Patriots tried to keep the pass-catcher around with a [ame=""]three-year contract[/ame], but the sides [ame=""]couldn't reach a deal[/ame] before the start of free agency, according to a source. After leading the Patriots in catches this past season, Edelman is free to find another team.

NFL Media's Albert Breer noted that he wouldn't be [ame=""]"surprised"[/ame] if the Patriots have a backup plan lined up if another franchise swoops in to grab Edelman, who ranked No. 47 on Around The League's list of the top 101 free agents.

Edelman, 27, also made our list of players bound to be overpaid in free agency. He enjoyed a hyper-productive, 105-catch campaign last season, but plenty of that came in the vacuum of a passing attack lacking reliable targets.

Appears his last days in NE are over and that his asking price must be extremely high..

I do NOT understand this move by Mayhew, at all. When I saw the tweet from Birkett on the Freep, it was instant :gaah:

If Willie were to sign elsewhere, Mayhew will be looking at a DE as the #10 pick (or trading down to get one). I like D. Taylor as he flashed some but he has a ways to go before becoming a starter. Jason Jones coming off a ruptured patellar tendon doesn't bode well either, as a rupture is tearing away from the bone and he won't be 100% this year.

Seattle swoops up Avril last year in FA and now ex-Seattle DC and current Jax HC Gus Bradley looking at Willie... Not a good sign. Willie isn't be-all or end-all but damn I thought he'd come back on the cheap. Last year Mayhew originally tendered a 1.5 mil offer to Willie only to rank that back within 48 hours

That's the problem! No way do I want them to go DE in the first or second round. Just sign Willie!

Meh, you're reading too much into it. Just because he was signed doesn't mean he's going to make the team for sure. It's a one year deal, so this is a camp competition thing, imo.

He's got the skills (especially the speed) to be a good option as a 4th or 5th WR...
