Sorry, but saying Romo would be an improvement over Wilson has to be challenged in the strongest possible terms.

There IS a place for it, the General NFL forum or the smack talk thread on this board...defend away in the most outrageous terms there

I have looked it up, here you go....

In Favre's three best seasons his top four receivers were as follows...

In 95:
1. Robert Brooks - 1497 yards, 13 TD's
2. Mark Chimura - 679 yards, 7 TD's
3. Edgar Bennett - 648 yards, 4 TD's
4. Mark Ingram - 469 yards, 3 TD's

In 96:
1. Antonio Freeman - 933 yards, 9 TD's
2. Don Beebe - 699 yards, 4 TD's
3. Kieth Jackson - 505 yards, 10 TD's
4. Mark Chimura - 370 yards, 0 TD's

In 97:
1. Antonia Freeman - 1243 yards, 12 TD's
2. Robert Brooks - 1010 yards, 7 TD's
3. Mark Chimura - 417 yards, 6 TD's
4. Dorsey Levens - 370 yards, 5 TD's

Tony Romo's three best season and his top four receivers...

In 07:
1. Terrell Owens - 1355 yards, 15 TD's
2. Jason Witten - 1145 yards, 7 TD's
3. Patrick Crayton - 697 yards, 7 TD's
4. Sam Hurd - 314 yards, 7 TD's

In 11:
1. Jason Witten - 942 yards, 5 TD's
2. Dez Bryant - 928 yards, 9 TD's
3. Laurent Robinson - 858 yards, 11 TD's
4. Miles Austin - 579 yards, 7 TD's

In 13:
1. Dez Bryant - 1233 yards, 13 TD's
2. Jason Witten - 851 yards, 8 TD's
3. Terrence Williams - 736, 5 TD's
4. Cole Beasley - 368 yards, 2 TD's

Like I said, similar talent....

And in no way is Mark Chimura a better TE than Jason WItten...

So you want to use Yards to rate receivers? You do know that yards by receivers has skyrocketed since 2005.

I find it very interesting you FA OL to mention Sharpe and Driver. Now while I agree Witten is better than any TE Favre had he still had top notch TE for most of his career. Oh and by the way Favre had much better OL's in front of him. Sorry but Favre's teams we're much better than Romo's.

I clearly pointed out these were comparisons of each players three best years and who they were throwing to in those years. Not a comparison of all their receivers over the years. Romo has had some pretty good receivers over the years too.

Owens is on a par with Sharpe
I would say Dez is in the same league as Freeman
Miles Austin and Robert Brooks are comparable too
Jason Witten is better than Mark Chimura

And Romo had a very good line in 2007 and 2013. 2011 was bad.

The whole point is this: Favre is a Super Bowl winner and 3x MVP, who at his peak was much better than Tony Romo on his best day.

There was a rumor of a video showing Wilson throwing a pass. I think it was on a Bigfoot fan site.

It's always tough to tell if they are authentic on sites like that.

Owens was great for 1.5 years then he went nuts again. I was happy that POS was jettisoned.

It's also convenient for people to continue to make excuses for him and not recognize his role in every one of those big losses. It's one thing to pump up his positives, which are many, but to pretend as if he hasn't played a very last role in our lack of success in big games is just sticking your head in the sand.

:agree: There was a time when Peyton Manning could't advance in the playoffs with the Colt's and he had a way better supporting cast....My point is you can't cant insert any player on a particular team and assume the best outcome will come to pass. Sometime failure is in a dude DNA until he learns how to be a winner. I would but the put Romo in Seattle or San Fran argument if he proved he could get out of the first round more than just 1 out of 4 times. Romo hasn't proven himself in anyway to be a winner IMO.:bawling:

Will you guys please stop talking about Favre. The most overrated Qb in the history of football all time!!!!
You are making my eyes hurt reading this crap.
During Favres career there were basically 3 teams to worry about for the most of it. Cowboys, Niners & Packers. Quit comparing what Favre had to what the Cowboys had with Romo.
BTW a running game helps the QB, a Defense helps the QB, a OL helps the QB, all advantages towards your beloved overrated QB compared to Romo.

So please stop talking about that guy :gaah:

(Now we continue with your regularly scheduled program)

Firing Landry and getting Owens were probably the most pissed off I ever was as a Cowboys fan.
