Damn it! I just saw the highlights on NFL.com and on the final offensive play that was picked, Quinton Patton was WIDE open on the left sidline, he definitely would've taken that in to at least inside the 10 or maybe even the 5 with 2 time outs still left! Kap didn't even look his way!

There are lots of examples like this through the season. ESPN and NFL showed several this week. All QBs miss open guys. Brees did so last week. But Kaep seems to have a higher frequency.

He really shouldn't even have been looking in Sherman's direction unless Crabs was wide open, which he wasn't.

The one time where Kap or the coach should have called a time out and they dont. They totally rushed that play to Crabby an threw into double coverage with 3 timeouts remaining. Ending same as last years super bowl throwing to a covered crabby. He doesnt throw the fade well and really rushed the end with plenty of time left. 31 sec is a lot of time with 3 timeouts. I think coach H shares some of the blame here too. This is when you throw to your tall tight end to where only he can catch it or throw short to the opoen Patton. Kap is a fine QB but really needs to work on his progressions this offseason and not his muscles.:gaah:

My only question is why test Sherman then? He avoided throwing to his side until then. And if you're throwing it to Crabtree in the endzone there, make sure only Crabtree can catch the ball.

No need to go for the homerun there as you guys were inside the Seattle 20 or 25 yd line and had 2 timeouts left with a bunch of time remaining

I also think Coach H needs to be working on making Kap throw to his #3 and #4 receiver options on easy win games. Where he has to go thru his progressions first then dump off or throw to the other receivers. Too many times this year he just refuses to throw to anyone else except Davis or Bolden..then later Crabby when he came back. He has exactly the opposite problem as Alex Smith.

Patton was wide open. Gore released into the flat and had NOBODY in front of him for 15 yards. Would have easily gotten the 1st down at the 10.

Kaep stared Crabtree down the whole time.

where was the D in the second half?

The same question can be asked of your offense. Outside of the final drive, the offense only had 1 really productive drive in the 2nd half.

You guys need some better cover corners also. Front 7 is unbelievable but you need some help at corner

Needed to throw the ball to the corner, where Crabtree could keep running and either catch the ball or nobody else, like Brady against the Saints in NE. We had plenty of time!!

I think some extra credit should go to the seattle LB, Malcolm Smith, who hustled back into deep coverage and caught the ball Sherman tipped away from Crabtree.

If he stayed or held closer to the line of scrimmage and doesn't get there, it's just a knocked down/incomplete pass, which gives SF a few more shots......instead of the game ending INT.

Kaep threw an interception to Sherman last year on the final drive as well. I don't see how hard it is to understand that Sherman is the real fucking deal. It's not hard to see. As douchey as he is, that guy is the best CB in the league, hands down.

I don't know you, so you might not know me, but I am a Niners and Alex Smith fan (despite the limitations). I wanted Patton (#11) to win the game, either as a secret weapon or game winner. I was going to post that in the prediction thread but felt that would jinx him. Instead, a Smith won it for Seattle.

Keep in mind...it was on 1st +10 from the 18 yd line, and the niners still has 2 timeouts left, when that INT to end it was thrown.

They had some more options to talk about, prior to that ill advised pass.
Maybe that's on Roman and Harbaugh a bit more than it should be on Kaep?

we know what the options were n could've been... NO ONE KNOWS WHY KAP DID WHAT HE DID

I'm not yelling but i am left speechless and strucked with one question that cant be answered...

wtf was Kap doing... why!??!?!?! there was no immediate rush to accelerate his throw/decision.... he gave it away again.
