It's a no brainer to me. I think it is more likely that they are both cut than Dixon being cut and Jacobs staying. It makes no sense to keep Jacobs at all at this point. He isn't really a special teams contributor and he's all but lost his legs.

Jacobs is only 29 years old right now and again AVERAGES 8 Td's every year and 4.5 YPC. Dixon is trash and averages 2.8YPC for his career with 4 career Td's. Jacobs is wayyyyyyyy better then Dixon, you need to watch more football I see

Same here - Any time you can get an ~every down DE/DT with a motor like his you celebrate it. Most people I knew thought CinCin was crazy for not extending his tag contract.

He doesn't hit the holes hard anymore, he can't make people miss anymore and he doesn't run as many people over as he once did. His legs are going. If you had any clue what you were actually watching you might actually realize this but unfortunately for you, you have no idea what its like for RBs.

What is the one thing I keep mentioning about these guys? Special teams, which Dixon gives us a huge boost and Jacobs does not. That is going to be the only real contribution that either of these guys offers as either will likely be 4th string. You are really coming off dumb in this one.

didn't read the thread but wanted to give my opinion........Jacobs is big but felt he was never effective in short yardage considering his size? at this point in his career, don't see him adding much to our offense, very situational. now that we drafted a RB high, Jacobs is gone.

Dixon is still in the mix because of ST's, but in the next three rounds we'll likely add a ST's 'coverage' guy. so i think he's gone too.

we'll then add an UDFA and later keep an eye out for a vet RB getting cut. we won't necessarily add another RB, but look for someone better than either Jacobs or Dixon.
