I was screaming back then for the Lakers to not do that particular trade because of all the young talent they gave away for AD. I wanted the Lakers to be patient and let their talent develop into a real winner. But once they signed James who brought in Klutch Sports, it was the beginning of the end.
Same here Retro.

I also didn’t want them to draft Lonzo. I felt even though they had Ingram, they should take Tatum who was the better player and find a way to play them both.

They still had Randle back then as well. What a young core that would’ve been.

Everyone knew he was injury prone.

The Lakers fave up way too much for him. 3 young players and 4 1st round picks.

And now Ingram looks like the better player overall, so they definitely won the trade
The championship trumps that. IMO Ingram has looked great, but he only looks better than AD due to AD's injuries. A healthy AD is still better.

This article pretty much captures the state of the Lakers. But until they fix that FO and ownership's ways, this team ain't going to suddenly be anything then what they are: a broken down old car that needs replaced. The article chronicle's what those things are that will return this beleaguered franchise back to prominence.

"Big Game" James Worthy is spot on and has articulated what many pundits and peeps who have been involved with the Lakers like Jerry West have been stating for some time. The FO needs to be sterilized and cleaned from the Rambi, Harris, Magic, and Phil and that idiot Jeanie Buss needs to sell the team to someone who will return it to its proud heritage. Now of course, none of what I have suggested here is going to occur anytime soon. Expect the Lakers return to greatness is going to be long and difficult if the present Lakers structure remains intact.

That one sucks. Pull Christie and add Brown and pull the second rounders and then its a deal.

That is the whole point Q. Lillard is getting older and the Trail Blazers want to suck the life out of the future of the Lakers. All of it is laughable!

James and Dame is a nice 1-2 punch. And with a HEALTHY AD that is a pretty scary trio.
