I don't think the Lakers have any firsts to hand out till like 2055
I believe they still have their first rounder in the year 2027. The one they were going to send to Houston for worse-than-Westbrook, John Wall in the proposed Westbrook for John Wall trade back in January.

Good move Shaqdaddy. Save yourself a whole lotta anguish when ya got a whole front office full of complete idiot/incompetents enough to eff-up the upcoming draft!

Despite the terrible season and the heartache from it, I am looking for a new, fresh(ish) start next year.

I doubt Lebron will be as good as he was this year, but at least he'll be rested, and hopefully ADs injuries will get a chance to heal too.

Just hope the team can find a competent coach and a trade for Russ. And maybe not have a team who's average ago was in the 50s

It's weird that the successes of the front office have been around the margins, finding guys like Reaves, Gabriel and McClung. That gets bumped up if the find a way to keep Monk. They seem to have overvalued THT, but there's still time to prove them right there. The midrange role players haven't been properly valued.

This may have some truth to it seeing James has the entire season to remind him playing GM is not what he should be doing these days. Speaking of effing-up. Kurt Rambis' name is starting to creep in to the equation of finding the next HC because all of the supposed LA Lakers selections are one-by-one squashing any rumors about them wanting the job. One example: Quin Snyder has stated he wants nothing to do with the Lakers. LOL!!

AD is frustrating because they are real injuries, but not what we'd think of as "major" or even "serious" injuries. No ACL, Achilles or anything else. It's more sprains, strains, etc.

I said he showed up out of shape, but I believe it was @shopson67 pointed out that he looked like he bulked up some. Hopefully this off season, he will concentrate on his core and ligaments, muscles, joints, etc.

I don't know how real they are, but if they are real, either of the rumored trade possibilities for Westbrook would be good. I think the one for Hayward probably has both the highest potential reward and the highest potential risk.

Vogel didn't deserve to be fired. He was not the problem. Now they have created something else they have to try to get right.

Lebron pushed for the Westbrook trade and when it blew up on him, the Lakers correctly let him know they weren't bailing him out and most fans seem to blame him. Now he's trying to set it up so he can't be blamed again.

This time, the extent of his involvement should be the Lakers should be ''we have narrowed things down to these 2 choices. Do you have a preference?''

Another rumored HC basically telling the Lakers, "I'm not interested".

If the entire staff in Philly was happy, his name wouldn't have come up as a potential hire I think. That said, I want no part of Doc with the Lakers.

Sure it does ALR because in the Lakers' haste to potentially trade for another sterling Center in a long line of legendary Centers, they didn't do their due diligence sufficiently and did not catch the fact that AD was in college, often injured-little nagging stuff.

Everyone knew he was injury prone.

The Lakers fave up way too much for him. 3 young players and 4 1st round picks.

And now Ingram looks like the better player overall, so they definitely won the trade

I was screaming back then for the Lakers to not do that particular trade because of all the young talent they gave away for AD. I wanted the Lakers to be patient and let their talent develop into a real winner. But once they signed James who brought in Klutch Sports, it was the beginning of the end.
