We shall see after the season. Snyder still could end up in LA because Vogel is reportedly going to be fired after the last game this week.

Like the gist of this article. These two guys added with the buy-out market did very well and should be brought back after the cancer is removed. The cancer is Westbrook, AD, and maybe even LeBron. Time to send these aging players packing and start fresh with the youngsters and perhaps a new HC.

I hope this continues and the Lakers begin a rebuild in earnest, There are way too many old and injured players on this roster. I have suggested back in Thanksgiving when this team was done then, to start fielding trades and moving old players out the door to get draft capital and other younger assets who want to play basketball and especially those that will play perimeter defense the entire game. This was a good move!! Ariza is done and it is time for him to retire. They should field offers for Ad as well as James. The Lakers should waive Westbrook and take the stretch option over three years. This experiment is done and it ain't ever going to produce a championship. Not ever.

Stephen A is absolutely right. Jeanine Buss is a complete idiot to let Linda Rambis have the kind of power she has in basketball decisions and the operations of the Lakers. Stephen A calls the Lakers a basketball atrocity and he is dead on.

Interesting, Ariza was waived today. I wonder who that young player is?

The Rambi need to go and a real president of basketball operations hired. Bring in someone like Cassell (or Snyder if they want an established coach) and start some new momentum. Hiring Doc would be the absolute wrong move; he is a player's coach and would only enable James/AD/Westbrook to push new bad decisions. Plus, he just isn't that good of a coach anymore (if he ever was).

Spot-on Shopson. The problem right now is between the ears of Jeannie Buss. Linda is her best friend, so much so, Buss made her the de facto President of Operations and Player Personnel decisions. Linda uses her husband Kurt to provide support and, as you correctly identified, the Rambi are just flat-out horrible. Worse than Magic ever was and he was bad enough as it is.

Many believe it is a promotion and signing extension of Wenyen Gabriel.

After Sunday, all those one-year contracts expire and we will see most of them not renewed. Guys like Bazemore, Ellington, and mostly likely Howard will be done. Anthony might make it through and be extended or offered a newer contract, but that remains to be witnessed.

That makes sense. Was hoping for something new, but would like to see them keep Gabriel.

I could see Howard back as long as he's good with this compensation level.

I hope the three so-called "stars" that sat-out last night's game are shown the door come Sunday through trades to load-up on a new round of younger talent that is similar to what was on display last night. Anthony may come back or not. I don't care if it is the acquisition of draft capital or players, part of this team's cancer was sitting on the front row last night. Trade or cut (Westbrook stretch option) them all.

The Warriors were too much without any of our big 3.

Tonight the youngsters need to show something vs the Thunder.

Most of 'em are playing for their next paycheck. Only a few are under contract next season.

When AD, James, and Westbrook and maybe even Anthony are not around this team plays as a team. They play better defense and everyone scores evenly. It really is time to move all three and maybe even Anthony as well. Talk of buying-out Westbrook should also include entertaining trades for James and AD and cutting Anthony. The box score is evident of how the team plays as one and hopefully they'll do it again Sunday against the Nuggies.

McClung is another good signing and if they cut Anthony or buy-out Westbrook, he'll be good for a full contract for next year.
