So far everyone has said the waiting favors Los Angeles, because he already knows what Toronto has to offer. The x factor is his trust of the Lakers front office, hence the waiting to see how they conduct themselves in this transition. Props to Jeanie Buss who has obviously kept those that knows what is going on to only those she trusts. I would think by now she has experimented around by advising different ones and excluding others to see who the common thread is when information is leaked out. So Pelinka was in both groups of two or three when information was leaked to the press, then she knows he has a big mouth. No me - I just tell people straight up I have a big mouth and get the suspense out of the way

I'd think the Lakers since, as others pointed out, he already knows what Toronto has to offer.

But Kawhi also seems like the type who handles everything very meticulously. So, it may just be him and his team making sure every "i" is dotted and every "t" crossed before deciding/announcing.

Kawhi is holding out because he is waiting to hear back from the PM to see if he can get tax breaks. Like a national hero exemption or something.
