Well, a lot of that could resolve itself this summer if Kyrie leaves. They will need to re-sign Rozier of course. The wing glut could be thinned out by an AD trade, or maybe some other move if Ainge decides to hold onto Tatum.

If Kyrie leaves I don't think they're making an AD trade.

Oh for sure. The Celtics still have a lot of talent.

However, if Kyrie leaves and AD makes it clear he doesn't want to go there without Kyrie, that puts the Celtics in an awkward position.

They're OK if he leaves IMO. They still have a bunch of draft picks (3 likely now with the Clips in the playoff picture) and some depth to trade for a different star if they wish, or continue to build with youth (and/or trade up in the draft).

Well I think they are striving for more than ok. If Kyrie leaves, they will need at least one superstar.

Nope, he's a solid player and a great #2 option but he should never be a #1 option IMO.

All I know is Lebron doesn’t have a title outside of Miami without Irving playing a huge role.

My biggest concern way Hayward’s health. No one comes back from that 100% on day 1.

No one.

That is true,

But your biggest concern should have been chemistry.

Maybe I am wrong, but Hayward doesn't seem like the type of guy to rock the boat. Stevens might play him too much at times due to loyalty, but I haven't heard about Hayward making waves in accepting his reduced role.

Kyrie and Rozier though? That was always going to be difficult.

Danny needed to sell high on Rozier and find another backup PG.

they have some issues though

not the least of which is HAyward is sitting there with a terrible contract and making 30 some million a year for a long time.

Horford is an FA as well.

they have a HUGE offseason and a lot of balls to juggle.

All the things that are currently manifesting in Boston are the reasons that I have always said Kyrie is overrated.

Great, talented player. One of the elite scorers in the game. Can singlehandedly win a playoff game.

But he disrupts offensive flow, does not always apply himself defensively, and he is a me-first guy. And those things greatly diminish his overall impact on the team.

#timevindicates

I wouldn't be so quick to count boston out...

There is a difference between the regular season problems, and how true elite superstars perform once the playoffs roll around. You are always too concerned with the regular season, hence your lillard comment. Lillard couldn't do what Irving did in the finals tho, he just isn't as natural talented nor as good a 3 point shooter

19-8 his last two years in Cleveland.

24-9 in Boston. 8-1 since New Years. But only one of those 8 W's was against a team over .500.
Irving was better as a #2 with someone like LeBron - To me, that is not worthy of a max contract
