Is it just me, or are kickers shittier than usual?

I agree. Both in the NFL and College football. It's been pathetic. Even the best kickers are missing what you'd think they would make 100% of the time.

They're shittier and it seemingly started at the college level. Maybe kids who can kick are playing soccer (gross) more?

That's true, but I do wonder if we're about to hit a slump. Looking at the college game, it appears like it. But, it could just be my own bias. I am an Alabama fan after all.

Bad kicking is part of college football history as far as I can tell.

I think the best argument for skill deterioration comes in the form of offensive line play. I saw an article on NPR about how offensive line technique was really difficult and not getting taught in time for games in a post CBA environment where teams limit practices.

I do kinda feel like its possible that we are going to have a year where someone makes a clutch late drive in the playoffs to tie the game up in the 4th quarter except that the kicker will choke on the extra point. Someone is going to lose like that and its going to be ugly.

It seems like Kickers have had it too easy with all those automatic XP's and now that took that away they don't know what to do so they overthink it.
