Yes I'm familiar with you being obtuse, these things go on every year.Got names of guys who did this since it happens all the time.....also, what player has done this who is trying to prove he is healthy so he can get another contract?

Oh I'd play, until I got "hurt"and if I'm the Browns and he chose to play hardball (never mind I doubt his agent would advise what you are saying) I'd reply, "you'll play if we tell you to unless you don't want to be paid...or have the year count as an accrued season.
Now you are saying if the guy came out and played like he did, healthy, in 2020 it makes no difference than it would now coming off 2021 season and still not recovered?Correct. Browns have a very good roster and their offensive system and coaching and Mayfield has played for them for four years and no team has showed any tangible interest in trading for him, a few more games isn't going to change that, and in fact since mayfield would not be in their ( the teams interested in theory) camp learning their system, their playbook, their play calling, establishing chemistry with his team mates it actually reduces his value by a good margin.
Funny how you don't address a thing I said about him being more valuable if he is available for camp, gets familiar with all aspect of the offense. Just ignore that and continue with your fiction. Now you are saying because a team isn't offering to trade for him now (never mind you don't know that no offers have been made) coming off a major injury when not recovered it means no one would have traded for him after a productive 2020?
again.....are you just messing with me (will say it gets better and better).
Ya gotta love this forum.
Cool.....let's hear some names. Should be easy since it happens all the time. Please list at least one who is trying to prove he is recovered from an injury and chooses to say he's injured.Yes I'm familiar with you being obtuse, these things go on every year.
You are trying to say if Baker played like he did in 2020 and showed he was healthy it would make no difference than teams looking at him now coming off an awful season, badly injured and still recovering from surgery.Funny how you don't address a thing I said about him being more valuable if he is available for camp, gets familiar with all aspect of the offense. Just ignore that and continue with your fiction.
Oh I could give you names but you would then just ask for proof they were faking the injury. I leave to our fellow posters to believe which ever side they feel is correct.Cool.....let's hear some names. Should be easy since it happens all the time. Or Baker will be the guy he's been his entire life and tried to prove himself to everyone he's what he thinks he is (whether he is or not)?Oh I'd play, until I got "hurt"
How about just one name of a person coming off injury/surgery in a contract year who thought faking an injury was the way to go?Oh I could give you names but you would then just ask for proof they were faking the injury. I leave to our fellow posters to believe which ever side they feel is correct.
I gave you a rational reason why that would make him less valuable but that reason didn't fit your story line so you ignored it.You are trying to say if Baker played like he did in 2020 and showed he was healthy it would make no difference than teams looking at him now coming off an awful season, badly injured and still recovering from surgery.
I realize I cannot argue with irrational, but this is comedy gold from you.
Think I'll just leave it for others to decide to agree or disagree about using/ faking a injury when they don't want to participate. How about you? You good with that? How about just one name of a person coming off injury/surgery in a contract year who thought faking an injury was the way to go?
Your alleged "rational reasoning" was Baker has been in offense 4 years so playing well and proving he is healthy is no different than where he is now....coming off an awful season AND a major injury.I gave you a rational reason why that would make him less valuable but that reason didn't fit your story line so you ignored it.
Sure. I'll take that as "I got nothing to refute what you said, dt, or support my baseless opinion. It's one of those things I can just say knowing I wont have to back it up with anything factual."Think I'll just leave it for others to decide to agree or disagree about using/ faking a injury when they don't want to participate. How about you? You good with that?
You ignored the part about him being more valuable in a trade if he's in camp with his new team and learning all aspect of the new offense he would be in.Your alleged "rational reasoning" was Baker has been in offense 4 years so playing well and proving he is healthy is no different than where he is now....coming off an awful season AND a major injury.
I didn't ignore this reasoning.....I laughed.
Didn't ignore it at all. But you are trying to say Baker will choose not to play for the Browns as it cannot help him, when that is kooky talk if he comes in and plays well. You ignored the part about him being more valuable in a trade if he's in camp with his new team and learning all aspect of the new offense he would be in.
I don't think it baseless but exactly how does one go about "proving" a player is faking/milking an injury? I believe it happens and apparently you don't. So lets just agree to disagree shall we?Sure. I'll take that as "I got nothing to refute what you said, dt, or support my baseless opinion. It's one of those things I can just say knowing I wont have to back it up with anything factual."
How about don't even prove he was faking. Just find a guy who claimed injury and refused to play when he was coming off an injury and wanted a new deal (his first big deal) going into his contract season?I don't think it baseless but exactly how does one go about "proving" a player is faking/milking an injury? I believe it happens and apparently you don't. So lets just agree to disagree shall we?

Would it help more to be in camp with another team earlier? Sure.....but showing he's healthy and playing well is certainly better for him than sitting around when all anyone can remember is he just had an awful season and who knows if he has recovered?
Know what it makes you if you cannot grasp this fairly simple concept?
Oh, the irony.
I will give you a name AJ Green his final season with the Bengals milked the shit out a injury/fake injury because he was going to be a FA the following season and wanted to be healthy for the off season of trying to land a contract. He was upset the Bengals won't extend/resign him.How about don't even prove he was faking. Just find a guy who claimed injury and refused to play when he was coming off an injury and wanted a new deal (his first big deal) going into his contract season?
