Baker is arguably top 5 in the NFC right now which means he could contend for a spot in the top 10. It’s not so clear cut - I would say Mahomes is on a level by himself, and other elite QBs are Burrow, Allen and Lamar. In the NFC I would put Goff, Stafford and Hurts definitely ahead of Baker - after those there are several good QBs who are similar, so you can make a legitimate argument for Baker being a top 5 NFC QB, and depending on how you rank the AFCs QB he could crack the top 10.
I didn't have current year Stafford ahead of Baker but that is why I had 8-12 and not just 8. The playoffs are going on. Hard to say after what I just watched with the Rams beating down the Vikings but that seemed like a whole lot of good WR play and a stifling defense.

Top 4 QBs are obvious. Goff maybe a bit of a 'system QB' but I think he has earned a top 5 spot. Daniels popping off as a rookie honestly was so good I think I'd write him down in pencil at 6. Hurts track record I'd probably also have him ahead of Baker but its hard to separate him from the surrounding talent.

I would have Stafford ahead of Baker, Stafford has won a Super Bowl and has had a really strong career and is still putting up very good numbers. I would have Hurts slightly ahead of Baker but yeah Hurts has had a lot of talent around him and he wasn’t that good in 2023. Goff is probably the NFC‘s best QB, I don’t think he’s a system QB, he’s had success in both Detroit and LA, he led the Rams to a Super Bowl appearance and then he got revitalized in Detroit and became even better. The Stafford/Goff trade was a great move for both teams, it gave both QBs who were already good a fresh start in new surroundings and it’s worked out great for both.
But yeah the only things clear in ranking NFL QBs are that the top 4 are Mahomes, Burrow, Allen and Lamar, and Mahomes is #1 and in a category by himself.

The Rams and Lions both have top 5 coaches so its interesting to really kinda figure out where Goff and Stafford actually are. There is a reason why the playoff games haven't been close for the most part. Good coaches and GMs bring in good players and there seems to be a multiplier effect.

Mahomes, Jackson, Allen, Burrows, Stafford, Goff, Daniels (a bit soon but he looks like the real deal) I'd put ahead of him. He'd be in the next group with Hurts, Love, Tua & Herbert, so borderline top 10.

Mayfield has had a top 10 QB season in 2024, but I don't think it makes him a top 10 QB.

Prescott hasn't had a top 10 QB season in 2024, but i'm more inclined to think of him as a top 10 QB than Mayfield. I feel the same way about Hurts.

I could see that with Dak but him, Love and Herbert all run into the same issues. Probably Tua in that mix, too.

Baker probably in the same tier. I guess that would mean Stafford above that.

I think Baker is borderline top 10, but what makes him so valuable is that his salary is so low compared to most over starting QB's in the league. He won't carry a team, but you have a lot of money to spread around to make the team more solid. Having said that, I just don't see a guy like Baker hoisting a Super Bowl trophy (or even making a SB). If he wasn't in the NFC South the past two years, we likely aren't even talking about him.

I have Stafford below them. He's a very good player who can play elite level football, but he has way too many turnover worthy plays.

They all do, though. Thats the common trait they all share imo except Tua who just cant stay on the field.
