Correct....knowing he'd never play for them watson still went to camp and practice all season. Houston was also tanking and was no need to play him.

Browns are not tanking and if Baker is the best option at #2 (with Watson suspended) would make sense to play him if still on roster.

Ask Steeler fans to list Big Ben's top 100 most memorable moments. Not 1 will list the story about him getting handsy in a restaurant bathroom even though that was a pretty big moment at the time.

How many Bronco fans list out Payton Manning's obvious PED use? Patriot fans will only list Brady's deflategate because they feel like it was unjust (even though it was Brady's actions AFTER the investigation that got him rightfully in trouble). 49ers fans dont remember that Montana forced his way out of town and forced the 49ers to accept a lesser offer. Ect, ect, ect.

Keep your head down and sooner than later, Browns fans and the rest of the league is going to fully understand what a steal the Browns got this offseason.

I've been waiting a very long time for my team to get going in the right direction. Watson's obviously a helluva upgrade from Mayfield. And for the most part you're right. Time can heal alotta things.

But I have to say I'm not a Watson fan. He's a scumbag. But I have to support him now that he's the QB of my team.

I don't think we'll know until after his civil trial unless something unexpected comes out before then (like plaintiffs recant, for instance).

Just would like to know before the season starts how much time he'll miss. I'm not following what's going on with all of Watson's issues. How long will all this stuff take, could it be dragged out for a long time?

Watson reported to camp on time and was on the field for the team’s first five days of practice, participating in individual drills only. When the players wore pads for the first time this season last TuesdayHe continued to be absent from practice until Monday , he did not participate and was not on the field.

I think at best this is what the Browns can expect from Mayfield. Just enough to get paid and not a thing more.
