Interesting that AJ Bush returns to Lincoln as a starting QB and that they hammered Minny last week

Also there's this

We opened the Books at -18 ATS, trending down. Vegas giving us a bit of rep from the OSU game

ugh, i was wondering when crap like that would pop up.

the one thing that does bother me is that teams that don't go can't practice. Seems to me if bowl teams get 15 extra practices (or whatever it is), teams that aren't in a bowl should get like 20 or 25 extra practices so they could compete better next year. or at a minimum, just say you can have the 15 practices too, maybe teams won't use them all, but at least let them have some organized activity so they can be on an equal playing field.

would coaches not going to a bowl use the extra practices?

Sad thing is, if we didn't suck for the past 5+ years and miss multiple bowl games, we wouldn't even be talking about this or care.

This is one of the games I predicted would be a for sure win since December of 2017. I still think it is.

I am confident that this coaching staff will actually exploit weaknesses of the Illinois porous defense. Unlike previous coaching staffs when they found something that worked, heck, let's try something else was what the OC would do.

In 2018, where teams have destroyed Nebraska has been in the passing game. I do not think the Illinois passing game is going to hurt Nebraska since Illinois relies on the run. AJ Bush was not recruited to Nebraska for his passing skills.

The team has to make AJ Bush throw. Bush is 71 for 125 for a completion percentage of 56%, 5 TDs and 5 INTS. I like how he will make bad decisions when throwing.

Nebraska has figured out the linebackers with Gifford, Barry, Domann, and Young. I still don't like Young, but no one has taken his spot. He played well vs ohio State.

The dbacks have turned the corner with jackson letting go of his ego. After saying this, he probably makes a bonehead play this week. Our safeties are the weak spot, but not that bad.

The D line has been stout against the run this year when not gassed. A pass rush would really help out the dbacks.

I expect the offense to gash Illinois at will. It is either a shootout with a Nebraska win or Nebraska wins handily.

I think the defense will struggle to stop the run. I hope not, but they have a decent back, and Bush isn't too bad when he runs it either. He is a true dual threat. Not as talented as our guy, but who is?

I think our offense can pretty much pick the score.

Hoping for a sweep of these last 3 games, but 2-1 wouldn't be the end of the world for me. I'd be ok with 1-2 as long the one is iowa.
