Harbaugh has achieved the top award in college football, if he decides to go after a Super Bowl win now, where does he land?

my sources are telling me it's pretty much a done deal, press conference before week's end. he'll be coaching the chargers.

I hear the same thing but I can't believe Spanos won't be cheap like usual

to me it makes the most sense if you are jumping back into the NFL from the top College team.
You dont want to start with a complete rebuild.

Will Jim accept an AFC job? Commanders make the most sense if he has a hard on for McCarthy. He jumps ship, then McCarthy announces, and then magically McCarthy becomes a Commander. Would be interesting!

well, keep in mind that the whole "cheap" label was more of a thing that his dad, old man spanos, had earned. word on the street is that current generation spanos, dean, has a desire to distance himself from that *ahem* "familial reputation" now that they have a franchise qb

why would he have a hard-on for mccarthy? i'm sure he wants to continue winning if/when he goes back to the NFL, mccarthy is going to be a career backup at best

Jim loves the smell of his own farts. In this analogy, McCarthy is from his butt. And I'm still drunk from a Michigan natty

I think to be a successful coach in the NFL, you either have to have a GREAT OC or have a great skillset of an OC yourself.

It will be interesting to see how great a coach Dan Campbell is next season when he loses Johnson. I'm hoping he can replace him with someone just as great...but I imagine those guys are few and far between for most NFL teams.

Is his QB coach a viable candidate?

Sounds like the Chargers are interviewing Kellen Moore but if Harbaugh wants back in the NFL he is without a doubt their first and only choice

It's Mark Brunell (former NFL QB). He hasn't coached long (I think this is his third or forth season as an NFL coach), so it might be a big jump for him, but I wouldn't be opposed if the Lions handed him the job.
