If truth be told...there's been a dark cloud hanging over that town since January 20th.

Really? Is that why the local NBA team has only lost 2 times at home in 2017 and the local NHL team has not lost even one time at home in 2017? Perhaps the Trump effect only applies to outsiders - huh?

Thunder tank for the 8th seed, knowing Durant won't be back until the 2nd round or later, and the Thunder beat the Durant-less Warriors in the first round. That'd be some good TV(even though I do like watching the Warriors).

Oh Lord, please don't make this devolve into a political pissing match.

Yep, he fired the first shot.

But, it was a joke.

That Lebron win was an anomaly to me Mecca. I think Cavs fans really think they can win this year. While now it seems way more likely, the East is still watered down and favorable for a guy like Lebron to flourish. But that being said, the proof is in the pudding, we shall see. But i for one do not buy into the Cavs favorability of winning. I just dont see it. Yet, the climate is right for Lebron to finally beat the Spurs, and as far as legacy goes, he could as for no more.
I think the Cavs can beat everyone, Sans a Healthy Warriors.

Could the Spurs beat them?

Yup.

Maaaaaaybe even Houston.

But, both would be viewed as upsets.

All year, it's been a 2 team race.

I would say Spurs but something tells me he's not out for the season. My guess right now is he is out until mid May which brings us to 2nd round/start of conference finals
Honestly, I think he's back before the first round of the playoffs.

Yeah he should be based on everything that I heard today.
I think the bright side is the team will have to come together to make up for the loss- and the timing couldn't have been better IMO. They were starting to depend a lot on KD's ability to bail them out with him creating his own shots. Now, they can refocus on what got them where they are & regroup so-to-speak. This doesn't mean I think KD isn't needed.

Remember, Steph had a similar injury during the playoffs & they managed to stay on track. I don't see things being any different here.

Just like the title says. Who benefits the most? Is it Cleveland skating to an easy title? Houston, SA, or even the Clippers (nah, cuz LOLCLIPPERS) now can get to the Finals and knock Cleveland off?
The Warriors will adjust without him.

it sounds like he is fine and should be back for the playoffs. a hyper extended knee is not a serious injury.
Any injury is serious if it means time lost.

They can get out of the 1st round with him pretty easily but once you get to the 2nd round and if he isn't healthy then that is when the trouble comes.

Here is another impact. Paul George may now be All NBA -- which would increase the amount of $$$ the Pacers could pay him. (as far as I understand it) This may make it more likely that Paul would sign with Pacers -- but could end up to be a sign & trade.

For All NBA -- George would have to be one of the top 6 forwards. Since Durant will probably miss the rest of regular season -- I guess he still could be All NBA -- but maybe not.

Forwards -- Leonard, Lebron, Anthony Davis are clearly in top 6.
Might as well add D. Green also.
That leaves 2 spots -- probably between Durant, George, Millsap, Aldridge. I guess George would be 3rd team with/without Durant -- but easier if Durant does not make it because of the number of games he misses.
This also assumes they call Giannis a guard.
