From the sound of it the Broncos already told Manning that he doesn't need to worry about coming in for his physical. Even if he did it wouldn't change anything either way.

Manning has stated through his agent he would be willing to compete and be a backup. At what price . I think Manning would be a great fit in MIAMI with Gase and Tannehill

As for going Griese over Brister, Brister's post-Elway career QB rating was.... 25 and he was released 3 times in just over 2 years. Griese I think was 1000% the right choice. Griese in his 2nd year as a starter really had that offense playing great, but by then the D had gone to crap.

As for rookie QB's, you can't really judge based on records or where they play. Wentz could be the real deal, and excell in the NFL. McNair and Rothlisberger didn't come from big schools, after all. Christian Ponder and Brady Quinn did. Osweiler may not be the best fit for us either (especially if he wants too much money). If it's true he's a one-read QB, he might have already hit his ceiling. This is going to be one interesting next few months.

Haha, talk about a full circle career, caught everyone's eyes making a pre-season tackle as their 6th string back that helped start his career with Denver... ended it on the same.

I was a Brister fan, mostly because of how he played against the Jets in Philly when Cunningham broke his foot. But Griese was by far the better QB at that time.

As soon as you get used to a cushy job like back up QB in the NFL - its hard to give up.
