I kinda like this Big 12/SEC challenge in the middle of the season. ACC/Big 10 should do it as well. Do it on a weekend in mid January.

This is really what I want to see to get a gauge of where Kansas actually is; schedule without looking is much fluffier than some recent iterations. 2-1 is my personal expectation for a legitimate 1 seed type team, but we'll see. If not, oh well.

And I'm not being homer at all (because I don't think either will win) but I'm not sure why people are picking KU and not Villanova, because the 2 teams have the same flaws. Great guards, great experience, pedestrian (at best) frontcourts.

If they were all picking UCLA, Duke, UK, then it would make sense.

I like that little tidbit in Huggs' contract. KU is the only team in his contract that he gets a bonus for beating and it all goes to a fund in his mothers name to cancer research.... pretty cool.
