Man, good story and tough to read re-guarding your friend. Sucks he got hurt before his career could take off but at least he has stories of playing with a future HoFer. He's 100% right, the NFL is a cold business and if you're not up too par your're gone. Hopefully he got unhooked from the pain meds and is enjoying life.

If the Eagles FO had any thought of a QB controversy looming then that's their fault for thinking that and even more moronic to bring Wentz back early to make sure it wouldn't be brought up. He was scheduled to be back full health by beginning of November so even if Foles was 6-2, Wentz was going to regain is starting gig but the Eagles have mismanaged this situation to go along with other screw ups that should have been addressed and boom 4-5 record and probably missing out on the playoffs.

We really have no clue if Wentz was brought back too early. It’s possible. But let’s not act like it’s gospel. He was always going to have some rust to knock off. The bigger issue is that the line has not played well. Combine that with a QB coming back from injury and no decent RBs on the roster, it’s not shocking that the offense has struggled. Maybe Wentz was brought back too early. Maybe not.

Great point!! The eagles had a great run last season. They really played above their capabilities. When all that comes together you have a real shot a winning. However, it’s fleeting. Especially in the NFL which strives to prevent dynasties.

They were not equipped to handle the success and the adversities that come with that success. The loss of the OC and QB coach can’t be understated. Also, letting Blount walk was a colossal blunder. Pats made the same mistake a year earlier.
Dude... for a few years there it seemed like wherever Legarrette Blount landed was superbowl bound... WTF was up with that and why did Pittsburgh have to run him off?

:gaah:

Do you guys want to know whats fucking ridiculous about the Eagles constant blaming of the defense being the reason they keep losing? Their defense is 6th in the nfl in scoring defense. The offense on the other hand is 21st in scoring.

Its no the defense

As long as Foles is a $10M clipboard holder on the Eagles roster this question will always be asked. The only thing that will shut the noise is for Wentz to win a SB and that's NOT going to happen this year. It may not happen at all, who knows? Foles is hurting for his team on camera and grinning ear to ear off camera. I'm happy for him.

which is my I woulda traded him when is value was all time but the truth is....the eagles didn't do that AND they spent a top pick on a back-up role player. Philly's front office didn't think they needed additional talent other than getting their MVP QB back under center. The Philly front office might of missed the boat on all that

Truth is - it’s both. The defense has had three games where they completely shit the bed in 3rd/4th and long situations that really ended up costing them. If it happens once, ok. But it’s become routine for them.

That said, none of that matters if the offense started clicking. So I agree offense is the bigger problem. But both have failed.

On fairness, I know all to well how maddening this is.

Thanks man. He was messed up for a while but he’s good new. Great outlook on life. Really a fun guy to be around. He has some great stories about Brady from college. He always says what a great guy and teammate he was.

The Michigan alumni is a tight knit group. They take care of their own... especially with athletes. He’s had some great jobs all via Michigan alumni.

It is beyond medical dispute that it takes one full year to recover from ACL surgery. People come back from it early bc the rehab stops after 6 months but it takes a full year for the body to accept the ligament.

Generally accepted a year to get back to full health. Give or take a few months. You can fully rehab an adl in 8-9 months with good genes, and great rehab.

That's good to hear, a teammate of my son in HS is playing for Michigan now ( he was 2 years younger) Kwity Paye. Kid was 6'4 240 as a sophmore and helluva a DE, played on the other side of my son

Nick foles is their largest cap percent this year. He will have to be cut in the offseason or he will be the largest again next year at 20M.
