How long does Philly stick with Wentz before going back to Foles?

I almost listed that one, but that shouldnt have been a QB Controversy LOL
Same with Phil & Hoss in New York. But in all of these they got rid of one of them as well.
If Romo was gonna try & stay Romo & Dak would have been one too.
Romo left in that one as well.

I believe it was Bill Parcells (I could be wrong) who said - If you have two starting quarterbacks, you don't have one.

I remember the saying. Almost mentioned that to PE1, but didnt feel like reading his rebuttal. Not sure who said it, but does sound like something Parcels would say.

Except that, you know, Simms had actually won something once before. The team picked up where it had left off.

Unlike the 2018 Eagles who had a losing record with Wentz and then went on a tear once he got hurt.

you know. You might be onto something. Raider often wait for a team to have two good QBs & take one of them, instead of finding their own.

I said that, Foles has the ring so they keep him and ship Wentz to Oakland, I mean Vegas!

Slow down turbo.
Super Bowls?
If you're paying attention half of these guys' responses already assume two super bowls and then they act like the 3rd one would be in doubt because Foles leaves and that's somehow terrible for us. Real special.

I responded to the wrong part.

Wentz won't go to Vegas. Chuckie hates young quarterbacks.

He'd probably try to get Hoss to come out of retirement.

Maybe someone that knows more about how Fran tags & contracts work, but I dont think you can Franchise Tag a player under contract.
If the contract says Eagles has the right to keep him (he is under contract at the 20 mil)
If that same contract says he can opt out. That is also part of the contract. Not sure the Eagles can then turn around & say fine then I Franchise tag you. I see that is not really being able to opt out.

At least one, of not more of Philly/Eagles related media sources looked at the following scenarios regarding Foles:

1. Foles remains under contract (status quo).
2. Foles opts out.
3. Eagles trade Foles.
4. Foles opts out, Eagles tag Foles, then trade him
5. Foles himself decided to stay in Philly, and keep his current contract or even renegotiates a deal.
6. Eagles release Foles.

The one source that reported that suggested so far has been quite reputable.

The biggest problem with tagging him (option 4) is two-fold though:

1. The franchise tag number is actually higher than the $20 million that he would cost next year. So the Eagles would be in even bigger cap-trouble.
2. This would probably not go over well in the locker room at all, and might be disastrous for locker room chemistry.

Basically, the Eagles might be able to "sell" releasing Foles, or trading him (depending on the team) to the players, arguing that long term Wentz is the better option. Having Foles opt out and then tag him would come across as stabbing him in the back, and basically goes against everything the team so far has done since Chip Kelly has been kicked out.

I all ready read that the Eagles do have that option.

Parcels is right because he was saying neither separated themselves as being better. Has absolutely NOTHING to do with our situation. If you hypothetically had Rodgers and Brady you saying you don’t have a QB. Parcels was talking about having two JAGS.

The other issue is if you tag Foles teams would know we are financially screwed and might not trade for him just to burn Philly especially when two teams needing a QB are the Skins and Giants (same division)

The only way we have both Foles and Wentz next season is if Foles wins another ring. If so, I will gladly deal with the cap consequences and QB controversy, as a fan.

Trollers brain...
“The Eagles have not one but two stud QBs. They are soooo screwed!”
