How long does Philly stick with Wentz before going back to Foles?

I’m not hand picking anything. That’s exactly my point. Wentz has the arm to make all the throws. Dak doesn’t. Wentz has an elite NFL arm. We all saw it his rookie year when he was up and down. We saw it last year when he was all pro and an MVP contender and this year isn’t as good as last year but his accuracy has sky rocketed with no pass protection, ZERO run game... and literally more injuries then I’ve ever seen in 50 years of watching football and a knee that won’t be fully healed til next season. Wentz is a special player.
but not elite.

RGIII was a special player at one point too.

I see Wentz’s offense sputter a lot in the red zone. That’s a big reason the eagles have a losing record.
many high draft picked QBs have the physical talents. Just doesnt guarantee they are good at what makes QBs great.

It’s probably in the game plan because he doesn’t have the arm talent for anything else. The entire point I was making when this all started is Dak doesn’t have a good arm. He didn’t even complete on simple pass for more then 9 yards. Turn out he had one for 36 inches longer
and that means I’m a fucking idiot. Got to love the hoop.

Cause and effect.
Please note: You are only an idiot because you are an idiot!

Totally. That’s why he isn’t a Rodgers or Brees. It was phenomenal last year as was his 3rd down QBR but it’s been a tough year all around

He has to put in several years of quality ball to be elite. RG3 was special because he could run. But Wentz is a franchise QB that is going to be very very good for a lot of years. They have to protect him because no QB is good when they are running for their lives. Look at Andrew Luck. They rebuilt the line and now he’s looking very good again when people were ripping him. By the way the Colts new guard is a freaking BEAST!

"11) Eagles (4-6): The offense stinks, the defense stinks, the coaching staff has stunk, the front office has made ill-advised moves, the franchise quarterback is suddenly struggling, the team is banged up, and they’re currently playing like one of the worst teams in the NFL. The fall from grace from Super Bowl champions to the mess that Eagles fans had to witness on Sunday is truly remarkable. How did it get from being so good to so bad so quickly? The outcome of the season to date would have seemed impossible a few months ago, barring some sort of season-ending injury to Carson Wentz."

"
Throwing balls up for grabs. Making poor decisions. Unable to get into a rhythm. Making mistake after mistake.

And never being able to fix it."

Wentz only had one bad game this year and it was really bad. It’s happens. But the coaching and play calling has been poor, the secondary is really bad and the O went from the 2nd or 3rd best in the league to bottom 5.
Tons of problems but even after all this I’ve never seen a team deal with as many injuries as they have. Literally lost our safety, CB1, CB2, CB3 and CB4 not to mention our #1 and #2 RB, our #2 WR. Our starting DT has been out all year, our starting RT has missed games, our starting DE is out for the year. Our top ST guy hasn’t played all year. Now our Center is out, our starting LBer is out. I’ve never seen anything like this in my 40 years of being an Eagles fan.

well first off, centers dont matter, we know that

but wentz's awful game was awful. but there were what 3 games he had a chance to lead a come back in late in the 4th and couldnt. Cowboys, panthers, vikes, titans, bucs, all close

what is the criteria for a bad game?
you keep trying to tell us all how good he is, but when it is time for a QB to step up & lead his team he fails. Way more than once this year. if he has good stats but falls on his face late in a game, is it still considered a good game for him? he makes bad passes & judgements late in games this year. What good is a high comp. pct. for 3+ qtrs if you shit the bed when it counts?

He definitely needs to step up his late game playing. Dak is better at that facet of the game then Wentz. But to have ABSOLUTELY no run game and a OLine that has him running for his life it’s remarkable he’s been as good as he has been. He’s a very special player. Has a chance to be the best in the league when Brees, Rodgers and Brady hang it up. His numbers this year have been pretty incredible if you’re aware of what he’s accomplished. But he desperately needs a run game... every QB does.

Luck has no run game.
Brady has a shitty rush game
watson has no run game
rodgers largely had no run game
stafford no run game
cousins no run game
brees years with no run game
newtons run game sucked for years
sehawks run game sucked for a few years

just saying it can be done with no run game,

Seriously, have you ever read a bigger fanboy post than that?!?

:pound:

He hasn’t even won a playoff game but he’s a “special” player!!

Bwhahaha.

If the Eagles lose this weekend I think this “special” player gets benched.

you know what I find weird.
When Zeke was suspended & we lost our left tackle & D-lineman were hitting on Dak like a Drunk whore at a sailor convention. You say Dak has been exposed referring to him not being that good of a QB. he was a product of the guys around him.

Yet last year the eagles pretty much had it all. Good coaching, run game line defense the whole (pardon the pun) 9 yards. This year team not doing as well & he struggles to get the team points. Does this mean he was merely a product of the guys around him & he really wasnt as good as advertised?

I think Goff is starting to be acknowledged as special and he hasn’t won a playoff game.

Wrong. He isn’t “special”.

Also, a lot of people started to question Wentz’s “greatness” when the eagles lost him but still won the SB. He hasn’t done anything this year to disprove them in the eyes of objective fans.

I didn’t say anything about Dak being exposed but I knew he didn’t have an elite type of arm. He doesn’t.
