Been watching the original Halloween movies on AMC. Geezus, poor ol' Doc Loomis took a beating in 'em.

Loomis in the first one:

Loomis by the time #5 rolled around:

He just wanted people to understand poor little Michael... :gaah:

@FaCe-LeE-uS mentioned the Chiller channel awhile back. I have it on my system but have largely forgotten about it because it isn't in HD. However, I'm watching it today.
Interesting lineup:
Shocker (watching now)
Chilling Visions: 5 States of Fear
Dread
Wicked Little Things
The Hamiltons
Black Water
Creature

Doin' my own post-Halloween marathon today.:nod::nod:

Comments on any of these movies would be welcome...but no spoilers, please! :nono::nono::nono:

Shocker... Makes me feel nostalgic. Need to pull out my Wes Craven films and dust them off.

Chillings Visions... Never seen or heard of it?

Dread... Do you mean Camp Dread? The one about the teens sent to the camp to win a million dollars, but are subjected to a horrifying weekend? Seen that one and you would definitely like it.

Wicked Little Things... Been a while, but IIRC it was a good movie.

The Hamiltons... Haven't seen it, but been reading about this one recently. Stumbled across The Thompsons one night, and found out its the sequel to the Hamiltons. So you'll have to let me know what you think of it!

Black Water... Semi-entertaining croc feature. Low budget cgi hurts the experience from what I recall. Sorry if that's considered a spoiler! lol

Would probably suggest Rogue instead if you were going for an Australian Croc movie.

Shocker - I felt the same way; been a loooong time since watching that one; a fun "Whose body will he take over next?" movie...kinda like the one with Denzel and Goodman with less seriousness and more snark.

Chilling Visions - This was one of those anthology movies with short stories and it was not bad; one of those programs you don't mind having on tv when you're also doing other stuff. Not captivating, but entertaining enough.

Dread - Not Camp Dread (which I now wanna see), but an adaptation of a Clive Barker "Books of Blood" short story; it's a psychological one about 3 college kids who do a study about people facing their greatest fears. I thought it was gonna be boring and suck; I was wrong on both counts. This is one seriously fucked up movie. I recommend it. Trust me, plenty of thrills, chills and gore for everyone.

Wicked Little Things - Haha yeah, it was alright. Damn zombie juvenile delinquent rat bastid kids, get off my lawn! :pound::pound::pound:

And that's as far as I got, with The Hamiltons dvr'd. Probably watching sometime today.

Watching right now: Charlie's Farm with the always-entertaining Tara Reid.

Anyone ever see No Vacancy? This is one pretty crazy-ass movie; the downside is that at times the director does the quick-flash directing style...I am not a fan; stop trying to reinvent the wheel and just tell a good story.

Pretty good movie! Never been a fan of Luke Wilson though, but he didn't ruin the movie thankfully. Pretty crazy Psycho vibes with that movie.

The Children - 2008. I enjoyed it. I hate to give too much up in a review or brief generalization. Given the title of the movie, I hope this won't. Felt a bit like a modern day version of what would have precipitated a village of the damned/children of the corn type situation.

Directed by somebody named Oz Perkins......you think his parents liked The Wizard of Oz?
I don't know about that. I can see his mother being his best friend, though.

Never heard of him? Looked up his credits and he only has 2 directed pieces to his name... Accredited 5 times for writing... And a whole bunch of acting.

Not very often does an actor succeed in directing.

Here's some weird stuff: Oz Perkins is the son of Anthony Perkins, the original infamous Norman Bates. Oz played 12 year old Norman in 1983's Psycho II.

Keepin' the crazy shit in the family. :D:D:D
