yes, they do. the room the pats used to fill the balls is "extremely hot'...on purpose. possible they could fall going to a cooler room?

yes.

if a rooms 90 degrees when you fill and you go to a 65 degree room...

It's like filling tires on your car. A cold tire reads lower than it does warmed up.

And vice versa.

Simple as that.

Blow up a balloon inside with warm air from your lungs, then go outside with the ballon. Tends to shrivel.

good lord man!

hold your hand out, i will hold it.

pats pump balls to 12.5 indoors

they go outdoors, balls fall to 11.5

refs re-inflate balls to over 12.5 in range

ball boy deflates to 12.5

But the balls are not outside before they are checked they are checked way before they go outside

because its a trivial rule violation, and one every team does in some manner. ask the panthers and vikings about illegally heating balls on the sideline.

its a silly rule.

So was the tuck rule.

you get my point.
semantics.

address my point.

ok, 13.5

go.

You are missing my point! Any ball that the Patriots own should never be filled higher than 12.5 t meet Brady's requitements.

I also tend to view those texts somewhat differently than they are being portrayed.

I can easily see it as a couple of guys fucking about with their phones. Much like folks fuck about here.

Given the hue and cry they are kibbitzing back and forth. Not getting a cover up strategy in place.

The ball boy texts are in OCT 2014.

They were probably doing this for so long they felt it was commonplace.

they never did anything to me...

Apparently it is commonplace, unless Kurt Warner is the QB..

I think it is too, but they got caught. The "everyone else does it" defense doesn't hold water. But had they actually tried to use it I wonder if the penalty would have been a lot less. Just come out and say "Yeah we did, what's the big deal, guy?".

I agree, what is the big deal?

In hockey you play with an illegal stick you get 2 minutes. Goalie pads too wide, 2 minutes.

None of this hang 'em high nonsense.

I think the cover up attempt cost them more than the actual cheating. But I have no idea if the NFL said something to the Pats before to knock it off (Like Spy gate) and they ignored it. Which could also be a factor.

If the NFL knew they were cheating and didn't say "Knock it off" I have an issue from the Colts point of view. You actually let them cheat so you could catch them? In a championship game?

It's like that friggin' photo radar we used to have here in BC. You could drive back and forth through it all day and rack up the tickets. You didn't know till you got the letter in the mail.

But if you got pulled over just once by an actual cop, busted on road side as guys you just passed drive by honking, you might slow down (at least for a while)........

Of course it was commonplace. Every week, Jastrewski deflated and inflated all the footballs a couple of times, and McNally had some level of participation (in particular, providing the needle for doing so).

(No, I don't know how many different needles were used for that over the course of a year, or why multiple ones would have been if they were.)

To repeat -- Jastrewski did a whole lot of deflating and inflating, Wells knew this, he left that out of the report, and idiots and other members of the public seem not to realize it, even though it is now publicly known.
