Just so everyone is clear. the gators want nothing to do with playing Miami, they have basically been forced to since the 80s.
Now that the series is over, sans bowls games, the gators finish up the 25+ years with a 1-7 record vs the Canes.

The gators virtually never leave the State for a decent OOC game, they can candy coat it all they want but that is a fact.

Just because Miami plays in a piss-poor conference and thus MUST schedule OOC games to look presentable doesn't mean that those teams in decent conferences MUST follow Miami's scheduling practices.

You do know that the SEC has half or more teams .500 or less almost every year. This Ohhh the SEC is so tough we cant play anyone good agument is crap. Look at UGA, Bama, LSU, S Car, they all travel and desreve more respect.

We also went to OSU, aTm, Pitt before they became ACC...

Hell a few years ago we opened with 3 top 10 teams (2 on the road) and we sucked...

We did take a page out of the gator handbook this year, all cupcakes and we only leave the state 4 times.

While correct, Miami is 17-1 vs FCS since 1978, Florida is 15-0 vs FCS. Hardly something to laugh about.

UF is #7 among current SEC teams playing FCS teams. Tenn. has played the least, 4. Miss. and USC are tied with the most, 22.

Last year we went to TAMU... and Mizzou..This argument goes right back around to your in conference SOS.. if we had Duke,wake forrest, virginia, Maryland and BC every year on our schedule we would have to schedule decent ooc games to bring our SOS up.... the most important one was glendale arizona.. and in case you don't remember we won that one.

well.. Arky, tennessee, Ole miss, and missouri have all finished in the top 15 at least once in the last 10 years, I don't think you can say the same for the ACC schools.. when you only have 3 currently ranked teams in your conference it makes your SOS weak.. Bama, Lsu, Georgia, and Tamu are all curently ranked in the top ten, with Scar,Ole miss and Florida currently in the top 25.. you have Clemson in the top 5, Fl st 8th and Miami 15th.. thats it for the whole conference.. say what you want to about the rest of the SEC but we have more in the top ten then your whole conference is ranked.

Just to clarify. BC was in the top 15 in 2007. GT was in 2009. Maryland was in 2002. Wake was top 20 in 3 straight years. Virginia has been in the final top 25. I have to agree that UF should travel out of the state for an OOC game. Since they played on a Thursday night and got spanked OOC and out of the State they have not done two things. Traveled out of state for an OOC game. And played on any other day than Saturday.

And before anyone gives the SEC thing. There are years and you all know it that the schedule is very lite as far as in conference strength. I.E. not playing Bama and LSU. For years Scar sucked balls and was a cakewalk. I will give UGA some slack because it is a rivalry game. Those years that are scheduled in advanced by the conference should have more than FSU OOC. Just my two cents.

IN the state of Florida they've got 6 other FBS teams and several FCS teams. Wonder which one gets played the most other than FSU? Well, it aint Miami! LOL
